a) if you read this article, this law came into effect Jan.01. for Canadians visiting Florida.

We need the same passports or enhanced license to cross over to your soil, summer neighbor. How I miss the open trusting days when you could hop the Cape Vincent ferry or cross the bridge for an afternoon to go to Kingston or Upper Canada Village freely. How quickly the world has changed.

I hope not I love Florida been 3 times and plan to go again soon, we have no problem driving or understanding signposts or even driving on the wrong side of the road, llove the country the people the life style even the cops down there are great with tourists.

The only fishing we are currently doing is ice fishing.

Spend a winter or two here and you will understand why we escape during the winter months.

We once saw snow in August on Lake Timaggamee (spelling?). Huge lake and we were in canoes. Huge flakes started coming down so we stopped and started a bon fire and had lunch. That snow lasted for an hour and then was gone....

Canadians are the worst drivers next to Michigans drivers in Florida.
Canadians spend most of their time on this side of the border thawing out. They should be equally required to meet regulations just the same as citizens here, since they reside here longer than in their own country. They also have more mooslimbs per capita than the states do, making it easy for them to hide under Canadian citizenry, while spending more time on this side. International permit, so what. Better yet, strip them of driving here altogether, tired of over paying insurance rates due to their shitty driving !

The Lake Temagami area is gorgeous.
I have spent much time in Northern Ontario, one of my favorite places.
It is so serene and peaceful.
No better place to become one with nature.

A mini snow flurry happens in August, not unusual as we can get mini blizzards at any time of year.
Many times I have seen snow on or past my birthday, which falls in late May.
But it doesn't last long and it's gone as soon as it hits the ground.

As to all you tourist haters, with the amount we Canucks add to your economy each year, you are very lucky to have us.

I was offered a free 3 month stay in Florida this winter.
I turned it down because of all the negative crap you guys on glp have posted regarding snowbirds.

I stayed home and spent my money here instead and will take my vaca in Canada or if I go the US I will head to Cali, where they appreciate our money.
