And this same god only loves Christians who have accepted the fact that he had to kill his son so that he could forgive them. Jesus is a new concept and before that time god could just accept burnt offerings of perfect lambs and oxen, and he loved the smell of fat. If this story sounds logical to you, you need to grow up.
