The entire scenario plays like a scene from Farenheight 451(book and movie). Montag evades capture by the State so a duplicate is killed in his place on live TV and the case is closed. There is no compelling evidence that "Dorner" is actually dead so, like any good villain, he could make a surprise return in a future episode of Police State Live.

Just after 9-11, Washington requested the help of Hollywood hacks to come up with fresh terrorist "scenarios". What we get years later is and endless string of bad,low-budget "B" movie melodramas with cheap special effects, lousy actors and scripts so full of plot-holes they make Ed Wood cry.
