True, economy is in a zombie-like state, German elections in September and it's game over after that imo.

Not riots yet, but in certain parts of the center of Athens fascists are having a go with the anarchists and the immigrants, it's not far away from happening on a daily basis and at the same time police is getting more violent by the day regardless of who they have in front them. Omonoia is indeed packed, there's some neighborhoods close to Omonoia in the center that you don't go at night anymore.

lolsign

Nope, i decided to stay with family and friends through the rough patch for now, things could change though, no promises. :)

Just because the center of Athens is indeed a desolate shithole doesn't mean that the whole Athens or Greece is too imo, it's like forming an opinion on US based on some Detroit neighborhoods, doesn't work that way.

5 years is an optimistic forecast imo, but you're most welcome, very easy for a Spaniard to adapt here. :)

+1

We don't retire at 50 here, a bit stupid to still parrot that BS line and stereotype the whole population.

Agree, if the people take things in their own hands they have everything they need for a great life..

Oil/Gas/Rare Earth Materials/ Uranium that when utilised properly gives you free clean energy.. Gold (Greece will be the number 1 producer by 2016)/Silver to be used for a stable economy... Good land for food production all the while sitting by the med.

If all the above are taken into account kind of puts its current state into perspective... or should I say who is behind its collapse and why? To get everything it has on the cheap?
