Hey, asshat. Entry level jobs paying minimum wage were never expected to support an independent adult or a family. They used to be filed with high school and college kids who were still living at home, basically unskilled labor. If someone is 30, 40, 50 years old and still unskilled, that's their own fault and not the fault of their employer. They deserve whatever living hell they get.

I know people who've worked in textiles and furniture their entire lives--we're talking 30-40 years. YOU try getting a job in a depressed economy with such a specialized skill-set when the only jobs available pay minimum with the "opportunity" to advance up to an additional $.25 and hour every other year.

It's how capitalism works, fucker. Employers run their business to retain the most profit for themselves, and if they can get the same output from $7.25/hr. from a 16-year old as they can from a 45-year old with three kids to support, who the hell do you think they're going to hire?
