First of all raising the minimum wage will do jack shit. If companies make less profit because of wages then all they will do is turn around and increase the price of their goods.

All an increase in minimum wage is doing is causing inflation.

Adjusted for inflation from 1960 til now minimum wage should be $16/hr.


So what was good for teenagers in 1960 is good as a minimum wage today.

There is a lag in the increase in money and the inflation that follows. During that time people can buy more stuff.
