Minimum wage is just a starting point for teenagers and people just entering the workforce or the retired as a hobby, it is NOT designed as a career choice.
Quoting: BRIEF And if it is then said person better get roommates or just live at home. Where do people get that they are owed anything? There should be no minimum wage. Let the employer set the amount and then a person can decide if they want to work for them or not. I moved out after graduation at 17 with a pile of cash that I had saved from working all kinds of odd jobs and the last two years as an apprentice...money has never been a problem for me because I'm intelligent, but those that are dumb or just lazy get the default minimum wage.
