As I have already mentioned, I'm not a fan of the RCC, but I admire this pope for his wisdom and intellect. It is really frightening how people hate without reflecting. That's been my impression of Ratzinger as well. He wanted to crack down on pedophilia and child abuse earlier, but Wojtyla stopped him. This article [link to www.thepopeinred.com] suggests that Giuseppe Siri was elected Pope in conclave three times, and each time he gave up the office before it was announced, because of terrible threats. It's not impossible, our recent Popes up at least to Ratzinger have really sucked. That's been my whole life, I've known no other popes, and so my impression of the RCC is quite negative. Maybe it had some integrity earlier, and this may indeed be a Masonic plot to turn people like me against the RCC. Or maybe Siri was never elected Pope and just keeps saying he was. I don't know for sure, probably I cannot know. The pictures of Siri do make him look like a better man than the popes officially in office though. |
