There's 2012 DA14:

I took this picture just a short while ago, after the meteor hit. You can see 2012 DA14 as a small white streak right in the center of the image. It's right where it should be.

I've done my own analysis of the orbit, thanks. By the time it's over Russia it's already headed away from the planet.

2 lessons after today:
1. NASA neo program is useless if they can't see the one and only recorded case.
2. Astronomical time is huge and nothing at the same time if you consider the odds for 2 different asteroids with different trajectories entering earth's atmosphere within 24 hours!

A lot of that is over-enhanced camera noise. I provided the second link because it offers an astrometrically solved version of the image.

NASA Live Streams and play-by-play analysis-

February 13, 2013

PASADENA, Calif. -- NASA Television will provide commentary starting at 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. EST) on Friday, Feb. 15, during the close, but safe, flyby of a small near-Earth asteroid named 2012 DA14. NASA places a high priority on tracking asteroids and protecting our home planet from them. This flyby will provide a unique opportunity for researchers to study a near-Earth object up close.

The half-hour broadcast from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., will incorporate real-time animation to show the location of the asteroid in relation to Earth, along with live or near real-time views of the asteroid from observatories in Australia, weather permitting.

Streams listed at above link (NASA-TV, USTREAM, etc.)

Also, the SLOOH space camera will be streaming live from the Canary Islands:

Correct. I just saw the asteroid minutes ago, it's by itself. I will try to webcast a view of it tonight from my own scope if the weather allows, but right now it's extremely cloudy so the still pictures I took from the scope in Australia might be all I get.

How many pictures is each image(yours and the other link) comprised of? In each image there appears to be a straight line artifact about 1/4 the way over from the left edge of each images as if 2 pictures, possibley more, were cropped together.

Re: DA14 Asteroid visual tracking site - LIVE links
CNN just had one of NASA's folks on there. According to them this wont even be near the satellites. In fact it will be on the outer area, and no wheres below them?? How many times are they planning on changing their minds on this?? Where before it was going to go between us and the satellites?? Are we all missing something here? Then they were talking like they were the ones that found this asteroid. Thought that was Spain?? What they can't remember anything today??
 Quoting: pmb1

strange because since days everywhere i hear that it will be under some satellites, and if you track it you clearly can see that .. hmmm.

Yes. They don't actually have satellites at the 22,000 mile
range. Probably don't have them at the 10,000 mile range.
I think the 6,000+ satellites in orbit is and always has been a lie, because they've never had that many space flights.

Now, it takes an asteroid for the truth to be known.
Your "satellite" provider has been scamming you.
They still use radiowaves bounced off the ionosphere.

Well apparently one asteroid just slipped thru the cracks and exploded in Russia. Duh ... The 'authorities' claim they are tracking all objects ... they don't have a f*cking clue as to how much a debris field the earth is currently traveling!

In 3 hours we're heading outside to take a look.
I know it cant be seen with the naked eye (without a telescope) but we're going to do a bit of sky watching to see if there is anything unusual or if there are any "falling stars" as such from smaller debris.
I mean after what we saw earlier today with Russia there has to be a couple of these. Hmmm, maybe best to stay indoors... or underground... lol.

I'm hoping for a bit of a sky show anyway. :D

It's a clear, warm night here on the west coast. 25c/77f

In fact they are so convinved that you can go to the betting office now and bet your life savings that it wont hit. and probably make a lot of money.;

That is the SAME orbit looked at 2 different prespectives. One is from the north hemisphere, the other is from equator. It is not dorping like a rock, it is passing hte normal orbit as usual.

What confuses me a lot is: amateur astronomers, nasa, ESa, etc, can detect and predict all kinds of shit flying around, but that Astroid taht hit russia, nobody spoke about it until it hit....
