Where is it supposed to be right now?

are you kidding me? Maybe I had better keep kids home tomorrow. Been reading some questionable things tonight which make me wonder

It will be at approx 3:30 pm on the east coast USA, I doubt it will be seen unless impact and that would be a very short viewing time, but a great last thing to see other than a beautiful naked woman.

I have no idea what the altitude is suppose to be. If you are asking where it is located over the earth the last map I saw had it over Antartica. I have no knowledge about Near Earth Objects. But the altitude is definitely dropping.

That is what they said the other day it would be 3:30 pm over the eastern coast of the US and someone said today it would be at 9:30 am? Which is it?

I have heard scientific talkin heads say thisis a carbon copy of the tunguska meteoor?but say we will have no efefects hopee so.

Just plan on being dead by 4 pm.

I am hoping for the 9:30 am dead time. That would give me, with DST, time to turn around on my commute and head home in time to die in bed with my cat.

So they're saying it's coming closer than any asteroid on recorded record yet at the same time assuring us that it will miss?


How do they know that to be the case if there isn't anything to base it off of?

How do they know the density or weight of the asteroid and does this affect its trajectory.

Hey! My wife and I were just outside for a smoke before bed and we saw two meteors. The first one was kind of a bright green and lasted about two seconds. The other was more yellowish but still had a greenish tint to it and lasted a little longer. They were both toward the southeast going west to east pretty high in the sky. Maybe 50-60 degrees from horizon, not for sure on that. The second one was a little lower than the first. I am in North Carolina and this was approximately at 10:20 p.m.

Could that be debris? Anyone else see anything?


Was really cool. Been years since I've seen a meteor.

asteroid 2011 md passed relatively closer on June 27, 2011 to Earth's surface at 7500 miles and was smaller at 44 meters and we are still here.

I've seen video of a couple dozen meteors blazing across the Earth.
So, some of them DO crash.
We have no idea how big they were before they entered our
atmosphere.

Um, what? How does 19:26 UTC become 6:30(26)am PST? That's a 13 hour difference, whereas PST is UTC -8 hours.
