Who still believes all that nonsense about the Priory of Sion?
If some of you do, you had better forget all the bestselling book speculations, da Vinci plagarism, etc and learn some facts for a change. Like Pierre Plantard, the Frenchman who concocted and spread about the idea of the Priory of Sion, was a conman who spent time in prison. Here are his criminal convictions: [link to priory-of-sion.com] Like that the supposedly mysteriously rich priest, Berenger Sauniere, got all his wealth not from buried Crusader's treasure but by flogging masses!: [link to priory-of-sion.com]

And those old parchments containing coded messages that Sauniere was supposed to have found? Well, they were an elaborate hoax created by Plantard's friend, Philippe de Cherisey [link to en.wikipedia.org] and [link to priory-of-sion.com]

Let me quote to prepare you for your shock before you click on my links:

"The Rennes-le-Château "mystery" was created during the mid-1950s when Noël Corbu opened a restaurant in the Villa Béthanie and needed a publicity gimmick to attract custom. A lot of the allegations concerning the Abbé Bérenger Saunière (his discovery of parchments, his 1891/92 trip to Paris, his immense wealth, etc) are simply post-1956 accretions – there simply was no "mystery" during the priest’s lifetime. For example, the priest’s Estate was only valued at 18,000 Francs in 1913 by the Crédit Foncier de France when Saunière was desperately in need of money and had asked it for a loan."

But burst the bubbles yourselves and see through the fake photos and the Baigent/Lincoln/Picknett/Prince money-spinning fantasies by visiting [link to priory-of-sion.com]

Great post! There's a show on the history channel this week that does a good job of debunking this story, [link to www.historychannel.com] But with all this, millions still believe this lie. Wait till the movie comes out this may....Peace!
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Re: Who still believes all that nonsense about the Priory of Sion?
well you can beleive whatever you are told, however it is a fact that the so-called templars did not start up on their own. It is also a fact that the temple sion was founded in jerusalem and shortley afterwards the Templars and their shadow supporters(priori)were given full rein and power by the church, black mail? Who knows but there are alot more question than just the rennes le chateau incident. Begining with dagobert II and his relationships with the church and his subsequent cannonization, even though his murder by the said servant assassin was praised by the church at that time.

There is factual evidence to the fact that the templars were guided by another group quite in the shadows and that the so-called priori documents do have historical relavence. The secret as to why the church went through great lengths to hide the relationship between the Templars and their shadow supporters, speaks volumes.

Re: Who still believes all that nonsense about the Priory of Sion?
Hmmmmmmmmmm……

I will say this however, there have always been fools, and then there has always been even greater fools, which cast do you belong to. The book, if read from either one of these levels will be seen as fabrication, fiction: They, the fools, will argue over the authenticity of the book, who the publisher was, what perfume the writer was wearing while writing the book, etc,etc.,.

However, in light of the "true" tradition of story telling, inside the story there is more often than not a core of truth; yet the fools do not seek, they do not truly ask, the greater fools even pretend to ask while all the while giving away their truest level of awareness.

Perhaps the divinci code does not historically portray in a scholarly way all the evidence, but perhaps you should ask yourself, does it need to.

How many of you have studied the evidence as objectively as say, the writers of "Holy blood, Holy Grail" or even the hundreds of other authors/researchers and documents that give very valid reasons to assume the position that there was and perhaps still is an alternate side to the whole Jesus story.

Better yet, how many of you couch critics would even bother?

If you have not yet read the book, suspend your skepticism for just one moment, try and take a look into the mind of the author, the impetus for the story, perhaps the core truth of the message will start you on a path of seeking unbiasedly, "The Truth".

The author’s father was a mathematician. A code within a code?

Digging means going to good libraries and reading archives BTW.

And other stuff. Not reading links. Reading links then going and checking real sources and stuff. All international drug trafficking is by definition conspiratorial BTW.

So of course dodgy European "secret societies" with connections are involved in conspiracies.

But if people think that its part of a Jewish conspiracy to use ancient french myths to cover their ET origins, or a movement to hide Jesus true Heirs in various european royal houses or some other crap. Then the whole thing is crap and any dodgy "ordinary" criminal activities they get up to are conveiniently ignored.

Re: Who still believes all that nonsense about the Priory of Sion?
There is a wealth of info concerning the Priory of Sion and Rennes le Chateau. New things are brought to light with investigation into the mystery, such as this:

“Some interesting things have come to light about the Prieure recently. One is that the Swiss Grand Lodge Alpina (GLA), the highest body of Swiss Freemasonry (akin to the Grand Lodge of England), may have been the recruiting body for the Prieure. But the GLA is also said by some to be the meeting place of the "Gnomes of Zurich" who are said to be the Power Elite of Swiss bankers and international financiers. The GLA is said by David Yallop to be the body which controlled the P2 Masonic Lodge in Italy.”

Most of the stuff I read about this was back before the internet.

The Grand Losenge Alpina or whatever it was, nothing to do with drugs. Or arms.

None of those groups do.

But i have heard all sorts of crap spoken about that stuff. Aliens underwater people and crap.

I also have a mate who is French. Tho he doesn't live in farance anymore.

He actually spent alot of time around the area where Rennes Chateau is, with some mates, treasure hunting.

His take on the whole thing was interesting.

Its always about drugs, and guns.

Oh and sex.

Well, 75330, you WERE wrong! I read Henry Lincoln's book as soon as it was published and was very impressed by it. And I read all the sequels to "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail." It was not until all the damning detail about Pierre Plantard, the self-appointed, grand wizard of his Priory of Sion, were revealed by various TV documentaries exposing him as a conman that I reassessed the book. Lincoln's arm-waving about the pentagonal arrangement of sites in the mountains was the clincher that convinced me he was a credulous fool who was desperately looking around for anything to support his thesis.

How about looking at the links I provided in order to see all the mistakes in his books? Then you in turn might become enlightened, although I won't hold my breath assuming that you want to be.

It's all true and Da Vinci was a son of Medici just like Charlemagne. Try to remember that only a handful of men and women inhabited this location at any given time.

THEY WERE ALL RELATED!

The bigger story is that they 'god' of the bible is the polar opposite of whom the reader may ascribe to thus, more fraud of the system by one SOB that has had nothing better to do than to completely manipulate mankind over and over again by dementia. I am so sick of that shit because it permeates society completely and each and every one of us is touched directly.

Peace to all. Have faith in love and in each other.

The Priory of Sion stuff may be Illuminati fiction, but IMO, it started the public looking in directions that "they" probably didn't anticipate and now they want to debunk their very own little legends. TPTW were always big on putting just a little bit of truth out there because they know a certain segment of the population would search. Now though the veil is falling and more and more people will be on to them.

Re: Who still believes all that nonsense about the Priory of Sion?
First, I bought and read three of the books mentioned.
IMV all were fiction.
They are still on a shelf.
didnt finish the last one, too, too silly.

also IMV the location was convenient for hidden away girls/ women made pregnant by nobility while gestating and birthing

OR

getting ABORTIONS and babies sold or used....

the parentage of some was scandalous so the operators
were in a fine position to blackmail

AND

a safe place for the reprobates of the nobility
to go to DRY OUT

or HIDE OUT

AND

as a conduit for getting drugs and OTHER
contraband, as in slaves in transfer, out
to the super rich

AND

a safe spot for a lengthy party session
for those who had party tastes that inculded the
macabre

witness the types of decor slipped in where
less sophisticated visitors would not notice.

again these are MY VIEWS of what I saw as a scam that
distracted millions form speculating on the real
hidden reasons that amazing place was erected at all.

no, I have never seen any proof of these views

BUT

thats how tptb operate now isnt it?
