Valentines Day... I am proud to be married to a "Low Maintenance Wife"!

Amen Brother!! Me too! I bitch about her sometimes but from what I hear I'm so blessed.

A friend of mine told me that his wife was unhappy with her valentines day gift of a single rose and a $20.00 box of candy.

My wife is a country girl with great morals and with a great career(nurse). She really makes my life great and easy and all she cares about is our son, me and my other 3 children. How could I ask for more.

I can't believe that some women get upset because they didn't get that $500 diamond ring, or that $100.00 dozen roses. A lot of my friends have shared stories of their wives being upset because they didn't get something expensive for valentines day.

Hubby and I decided long ago to not celebrate it. We don't do father's/mother's day or any of those 'days'. It got to be too stressful and frankly, silly. Why let society dictate how you show appreciation to someone else?

I printed out a black and white vcard cause our printer is low on color ink for my kids to sign and give to her and she was happy as could be. I usually don't do anything because holidays\birthdays\anniversary's are stupid.

We didn't get each other anything, We are kinda short on funds right now,(I'm laid off) but she just doesn't care about that stuff.

I'm with you on this one. If there is one immutable truth in life, it's that all men are dogs and all women are psycho. As a housetrained dog, I found me an LLP (low level psycho) and am very grateful for it.

Times are tough now. We live paycheck to paycheck struggling to make ends meet. When I gave her the card, she smiled and said "You didn't have to buy a card for me, you could have just made one out of paper or write me a note." I realized then that she didn't desire anything more than words on paper to make her happy.

I should be ashamed but I sent her a funny pic today that said happy v-day. It was a pic of a guys sack that was shaped like a heart! but I knew it would make her laugh and it did, those high maintenance wives would be so pissed!

I think we are truly lucky and blessed my friend. When I was making alot of money and buying her jewlery, flowers, and cards, it was easy, but she didn't seem to really like it. She seems to like the simplest things!

Sometimes we just go to the card aisle and pick out cards for each other to read right then and there. We have a good picking our funny or sentimental ones, put them back and do the rest of our shopping.

exactly! I'm female and in a long term relationship and I could give two fucks about valentines day. I don't need a fancy dinner and a bunch of candy or flowers or expensive bullshit to know that my boyfriend loves me. He proves that every day by allowing me to live in his house, providing for me and caring about me. He lets me know he loves me by telling me, or doing simple things that allow me to get through my life more easily. I'd much rather have that than a diamond.

I am a wife who has many high end baubles and every creature comfort money can buy. Those things are nice, but I just really enjoy spending time with my husband, because he's my best friend and a lot of fun. On Monday, we went on a sixteen mile bike ride together. We ride bikes, play tennis, ride scooters together or go for a ride on his Harley for fun. Tonight I made a delicious pasta dinner and a homemade chocolate cake from scratch. I love to make delicious food for my family and friends to enjoy.

Low maintenance women are the way to go.

My wife cooked me a dozen brownies and asked me to take a hike with her in the woods this weekend. That is what she wanted for valentines day.

I suppose that is how they gauge how much their boyfriend/husband loves them. Sad.

Yes, she told me how much she loved me and wanted to spend more time with me. That is all she wanted. This makes me appreciate my wife more than ever.

There are way too many women who seem to think that they deserve expensive gifts and such,but I think it's a waste of time. You really wanna know why they ask for such things, because they want to brag to their gfs how much money you spent on them and then they get to show off the toys ,blah,blah,blah. It's competition plain and simple. They love making their gfs jealous so those women will go home and bitch at their men,why don't you ever buy me such and such?

Looks will get a woman really far, but if you only rely on LOOKS, you will not stay happy.

Many attractive women learn that a combination of looks and love - love for others, for the Lord, for the wonderful world created for us - is the best way.

I believe no woman with good heart is ugly. A smile, an inner spark, is worth more than transitory beauty.

My beauty, I hope, is in how I make others feel.

A woman of valor, whose value is above rubies , that is the way to go.
