Manhunt in Texas for prisoner who snapped glasses and stabbed officer | |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 17845378 United States 02/14/2013 08:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The detectives decided to rent a car and drive the rest of the way, and were picking up a third officer in Dallas to help. The first two detectives and Morales stopped at a Walmart so one of the detectives could use the bathroom. That is when Morales took off his glasses and broke the frame to make a blade, police said. The detective left guarding him, Jaime Pardinas, was stabbed once in the chest and three times in the back. Morales ran away. The detective was treated at a hospital. Police in Grapevine were also looking for an SUV that Morales may have stolen from a motel overnight Monday. There was a gun in the SUV, a white 2008 Ford Explorer with a Texas license plate, police said. Before Morales broke free, his hands were shackled to a band around his waist. “He was handcuffed. We don’t know how he got the handcuffs free,” Miami-Dade County Police Director J.D. Patterson told NBCMiami.com. Eberling said Grapevine police do not know whether Morales is still shackled. Grapevine police said Morales would face four additional criminal charges because of the escape attempt, including attempted capital murder. Police across north Texas were looking for Morales, with Miami police and U.S. marshals helping. “We don’t think he could have gotten too far,” Grapevine police spokesman Lt. Barry Bowling told NBCDFW.com. “We’re concerned about where he might be since he’s at large, and we do think he’s still very dangerous.” |

He is a Cuban and the Mexicans around here don't like Cubans. I got a reverse 911 call from the Grapevine Police department the other day regarding this situation. They said, there was a 10,000 dollar reward for his capture. I went looking for him! LOL >>Morales now faces four Texas charges: attempted capital murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault on a police officer and escape.<< Read more here: [link to www.star-telegram.com] That guy is long gone. He knows we have the death penalty in Texas. We are all sort of laughing at the stupidity of the Miami police stopping at Wal-Mart shopping for snacks for their trip to Vegas. The guys picture is plastered all over town..even the mail man is looking for him. It's like the old West...He's wanted dead or alive...LOL |

(If he had the kind of glasses with the spring temple, if you pull those apart there is a piece of metal which looks just right for picking a handcuff lock. Multipurpose tool, glasses) |

Quoting: zenobiaphobia (If he had the kind of glasses with the spring temple, if you pull those apart there is a piece of metal which looks just right for picking a handcuff lock. Multipurpose tool, glasses) The security video of him running across the Wal-Mart lot looks like he had picked everything ..No chains on that guy! Believe me he is not in Texas any more. And he won't get any help in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama or Oklahoma. He better get his butt back to Florida where he has friends real soon. It was funny, the day the news broke, (I only live a couple miles where he stabbed the cop with his glasses) My son came home and said, "Mom you need to lock the doors and do you know how to drop a clip into the 1911?" I laughed and said, I've got 5 round in the 38 and that's all I need. The guy is a Cuban from Miami. They shoot one handed and cocked sideways like in the movies. Besides, I'm pretty sure he has not spent much time at a range an probaly can't hit shit. Don't worry about mom darling..I've got it handled! I raised a good son. He was trying to keep his mamma safe. |

In Texas..we are hunting him for the reward. LOL!!! Gotta love them Texans! Tuff as Nails! Don't Mess with Texas! You're right! I wasn't scared even though Droner shot the first cop down the street from my work in Riverside. I'm not a cop and wasn't afraid of him. The young Californians dislike our cops and were backing up Droner. The cops here are terrible and u should hear the stories what they do to the deaf people here as well. |

Dorner only killed a few people.... they acted like it was an all in out war. The way MSM reported it, too, seemed epic. In actuality, no one really cared over here. |

Actually, yesterday I was planning to head to Big Bear and check out what was going on Sat morning when I'm off. I only live an hour and 15 min from there. I think they have him identified now. Not sure what I would look for, but I still don't trust them. |

Quoting: Indysmindy Indy..I can honestly say, In the state of Texas, anyone who comes across the guy will shoot first and ask questions later. He tried to kill a cop and that is all they need to know. Morales is a hardened criminal and he knows that he better get the hell out of Texas because if he is caught here, he will be looking at a death sentence..not life in prison like he was facing in Nevada. Here is more on the story [link to www.wfaa.com] |
