Could it be the Russians actually did attempt to fire something at it? Lets assume for a second they have some sort of star wars basic missile defense system and it targets and fires somewhat automatically. Could that be what is being seen?

Listening today on radio they said the meteor was under immense pressure, etc when it entered our atmosphere so its prob that.it broke up

IMO it's more likely the shockwave of the debris moving through the lower atmosphere at hypersonic speeds.

Just not enough air at such an high altitude to carry sound or pressure waves very well.

@ 1:17 on the original video you can see 2 light rays emitting from the meteor.

It almost looks as if a laser was used to vaporize it.

Which is why it would leave a trail or particles in the sky for a while - until it was blasted down small enough then the particle trail ceases. The explosion could of been the initial hit of the laser on the meteor. Does anyone have HD of the initial explosion?

1 light ray follow the path it was traveling (residual particles) and the other one comes in at a different angle.

I saw a puff of smoke. Which is strange because the position of the meteor was way at a distance according to the reflection of that bus back window. Hm. Great catch OP. Hope there is such a defense agile system to help the planet from these meteors.
