you can set you own jobs ; turn down jobs you don't like
and set your own pay rate....
If you have this much experience
I would be researching what you need to do to work for yourself doing contract jobs
you would be surprised I bet at how much work there is out there for independent contractors in that field
If you know a particular code really well....
write a book on it
