Heaven or Hell.

If you're "not so interested in the bible" than you're not so interested in the TRUTH.

not so sure about the bible. No offence, but I wonder what this book comes from?

There also are som many diffrent belives based on the same book, and which is right?

Religion makes me so confused with all the wars, anger and stuff thats going on.

Well, I could write a whole lot about this which you probably are not interested in reading anyway but if you ask Jesus Christ to reveal himself to you, HE WILL.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32681289

I really, really tried. I did not succeed. Actually I have not given up on this theory yet, but i dobubt that Jesus will reveal himself to me. I would love it but I doubt it.

I dont dismiss anything at this point, just need something to belive in, in my heart and head.

Looking for a answer that I can belive in and not doubt.

There are multiple accounts by non-Christians, of Jesus appearing to them here:
Thread: Jesus appears in room of a former Hindu

In nearly all accounts, the person was not having an NDE, OBE, or dreaming, but saw Jesus when fully awake.

After the experiences, the non-Christians, became Christians.

So it's true the Noah took a pair of every animal on his Ark?

How did he feed the elephants, the tigers, and the ostriches - that's just off the top of my head.

You see the ridiculousness of your claim? No, I didn't think so. The truth would crush you so best to stay in denial and make sure you read the bible everyday.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17743805

What truth do you speak of?

That life came from inorganic matter, which can not be proven.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31324993

No we were created at some point and that is the truth. The bible is just one speculative attempt to answer it.

This may freak you, but cogito ergo sum. If I am thinking, I exist and if I exist, something is responsible for it. Science will tell me it's true that a union between sperm and an egg did it, but then I ask, which came first (my mother or father, muahhahaha)? Seriously though this version is incomplete because of the who created who paradox.

So, I am saying that like Descartes, I have to agree there must be a God (or creator). I just don't think that the bible provides any answers except for people like you who do not have the intellect to admit it.

There is a wealth of material online about NDE (near death experiences). I recommend you look into it.

Also look into DMT.

Best answers I've found when asking the same question.
Enjoy.

Let me add in several accounts, the people learned of information from the experiences, that they didn't previously know, but later was researched and verified to be true.

This of course, means the experience was not the product of the person's imagination.

There is no paradox. The creation of independent sex is part of the evolutionary process.

Science tells us that the first forms of life where single-cell organisms that self-replicated. These came from a comet carrying organic compounds and a perfect combination when it impacted earth's elements created the first spark of life - activating those organisms.

Over millions of years life has evolved into many forms - giving abilities to reproduce in many ways. For one species it may have asexually reproduced a female and then another of the same species asexually reproduced a male. The male and female created the first sexually born of that species and so on and so forth.

It's not really a mystery anymore.

Re: What do You think happens after we die?
There is a very rare thing that happens once in a lifetime. A guy gets up to piss and his blood pressure drops so low that he is nearly dead. That happened to me many years ago. My head went clear through the wall as I fell backwards but I didn't feel it. My wife was screaming at me and as I looked at her it was like a tunnel opening that got smaller and smaller until it was black and I didn't see her at all. Just like a old fashioned television when you shut it off. The next thing I knew there were firemen around me. But other than that, nothing. So maybe there's nothing when you die?

I wouldn't say "Can not" -- as I believe they are getting close -- maybe just a hundred to a couple hundred years off.

Even then, it doesn't disprove the existence of a god. All of the laws, the act of the "Spark of Life" -- the uniformity and organization of structure in what allows the existence of life in the first place is almost like writing a Dawkins' program with a set of rules and letting it fruition into what it wants.

At any point -- people who did not know it was created by another person - could debate on all the 'small' points to prove or disprove it's creation.

When they never look beyond that. Even if it's 'proven' that life was created through a seemingly 'natural' process, or that species evolved...it doesn't HAVE to disprove a God.

He still "Created" it by speaking the blue-prints, if you will.

What's there to not like about it?

If our consciousness ceases to exist upon death, then you will never even know it. Poof! You're gone and that's that.

Personally, I believe our consciousness continues to exist, and the reason I believe this is because since I don't know for sure either way, I choose to believe what makes me "feel" the best.

As for Christianity and the claim that the God of the Bible is going to judge us, that is utter nonsense. The Bible is a control mechanism and for some of us, it is necessary. E.g. I know someone who is suicidal/homicidal and if it weren't for the fact that he fears going to hell, then he would go on a killing spree.

Not to mention, where did the organic compound come from?

Or even more to the point, where did the universe come from?

How can something come from nothing?

Of course, even if there is a creator "consciousness", it does not mean our consciousness continues after death, but it certainly increase the probability.

There is evidence that the universe is similar to our brain and that we are the result of a "dream" the universe is having.

And before any of you laugh at this idea, think about when you dream. You interact with other characters and in your dream, you have no idea what these characters are going to do or what is going to happen next in your dream. So, maybe we are just a dream of the universe.

Yes the bible have been a control mechanism for a long time now, thats why I have my doubts about it. It have happend a lot of bad things in the name of religion.

I just feel that hate, wars, killing and all that is connected to religion cant be the answer. But I accept if someone belives in a religion, just a bit tired of it myself.

Re: What do You think happens after we die?
Regardless of religion, does something happen or is it the end. Are we gone?

Many have died in my family and my parents are old now. I just wonder if the "dead" are around in some way or if they are gone.

Not so intrested in the bible.
