Children of the Atom User ID: 20257839 United States 02/16/2013 04:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Been wondering if they have found any impact sites yet and apparently they have. Haven't noticed any threads about it (did a quick search)and was curious if any other info has been posted. Quoting: <ambiguous> I did manage to find something but I can't post the link as this particular site is a bit stingy with copyrights. But if you search 'russian meteor impact site' in google news it should be the 1st link ( has pic included in article). Off to do some more hunting. Same pic at [link to www.telegraph.co.uk] More info; Army units found three meteorite debris impact sites, two of which are in an area near Chebarkul Lake, west of Chelyabinsk. The third site was found some 80 kilometers further to the northwest, near the town of Zlatoust. One of the fragments that struck near Chebarkul left a crater six meters in diameter. [link to www.popdecay.com] Bro, it exploded in hailed chunks of smaller debris down like a buck shot. |

I realise that, but I was under the impression it was a big arse rock so wouldn't there be up to several larger chunks that survived? Calling Dr Astro! just saw Harbinger Of Truths thread. Ignore this one. Last Edited by <ambiguous> on 02/16/2013 05:03 AM |

Hey, if you want to pay for my plane ticket to Russia so we can go hunting for them in the Urals, I'm game. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 24221886 United States 02/16/2013 05:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Much of the meteorite was pulverized during the massive explosion, which is obvious from the various video recordings of the event. However, air sample tests reveal that along with tons of dust, Russian scientists have identified dormant alien fungal spores and active microbial life that, when brought into contact with water, aggressively reproduce and rapidly consume nearly all organic material encountered. Sections of forest have already become infected, leaving the trees not only denuded, but the wood is reduced to a black, weak, styrofoam-like material, causing the dead trees to collapse. The alien life consumes the trees so quickly that large amounts of heat are released. Isolated reports of fires have not been confirmed, but are deemed plausible. The alien life has demonstrated extraordinary tolerance for high temperatures. Reports are coming in of strange respiratory illnesses nearest to the epicenter of the explosion. The most common illness promotes copious discharges of thick, green mucous from the mouth, nose and eyes. Blood vessels in the eyes become grossly dilated, causing the eyes to appear filled with blood and swelling them to nearly twice their normal size. The victims' red eyes protrude grotesquely from their sockets. The victims are also said to become enraged and possess abnormal strength, requiring unusually high amounts of sedatives to restrain them. A different sickness that is even more common causes drymouth, insomnia and unquenchable thirst along with vivid and terrifying hallucinations involving fire, blood, death, monsters and demons. Russia is attempting to prevent the spread of this information in order to avoid mass panic, but the number of sick is increasing very rapidly. It is unknown at this time if the illness is contagious. The very latest reports reveal that "three similar cases" have been identified in Cuba. It is unknown at this time which of the two major alien illnesses were being referred to in that report. |
