Yes I guess that's right.

But reading that Chick article you linked to made me realize why it could be a problem using "Lucifer" in Isaiah if that's not the absolutely perfect translation from the Hebrew . I say "if" because I certainly claim no expertise in Hebrew. "Prometheus" in Greek myth gave fire to humans, defying Zeus, but obviously seen as a a benefactor of the human race compared to Zeus, the philandering, quick-to -anger, deadbeat dad.

"The light bringer", sounds like the same guy to a lot of people and the God of the old Testament takes on for them even more of the bad Zeus characteristics than he already has in their minds. And the selfishness and petty jealousy displayed by the Zeus-type has probably morphed the very definition of the word jealousy to what it is in our minds today: a sign of weakness and selfishness. And here we have God admitting to jealousy, all over the Bible! -No doubt part of why so many people haven't experienced this for themselves :

" 17 This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser,+ the Holy One of Israel:+ “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself],+ the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk.+ 18 O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments!+ Then your peace would become just like a river,+ and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.+" Isaiah 48:17
You mention Blavatsky,etc, knowing they worship Lucifer, but I'd say that "Blavatsky" spirit has permeated almost everywhere I look, with everyone thinking they're "enlightened" by it.
