It's insane. I'm self employed, insure my whole family by myself, so I have health insurance that is actually quite good on the total benefits, but it has a $10,000 deductible and a Health Savings Account...

I just got my premium increase for this year...25% increase, going to now cost me almost $5,000 per year for insurance I've never met the deductible on in ten years...

Plus, it won't meet the Obamacare requirements starting next year, so I will also have to pay a $2000 tax to the government...

And they don't think this will effect the economy?!?!?

Obamacare's never been about actually providing healthcare. Its a tool to DESTROY the healthcare system in this country and at the same time control us in ways we can't see yet. By the time we wake up to what the reality of this thing is, it'll be too late to save what was the best healthcare system on the planet.

Get whatever tests and operations you need now. Next year will be too late.

Fortunately, my state will opt into the Medicaid expansion. That means I will never be without insurance again beginning next January. It also means that never again will I have to file bankruptcy for a life-saving operation. President Obama is definitely moving the country in the right direction, and those who can't see this are fools. A civilized country ensures the health of its citizens, and a shitty country does not. That's why this needs to happen regardless of the cost.

Here is something else. I had my taxes done yesterday for 2012. My tax lady is also a "tax attorney"...she really knows her stuff.

She told me about the cost of insurance the employer pays on each employee of the fire department,,,leo's,,,city, state workers....example $13,000 each year for each employee is now going to be added into each employee as
INCOME AND THE EMPLOYEE IS GOING TO HAVE TO PAY TAX ON HIS HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFIT PAID FOR BY THE EMPLOYER.

THIS IS FREAKING INSANITY.

AND JUST THINK...IT TOOK MANY LITTLE GENIUSES TO PUT THIS BULLSHIT TOGETHER OVER MANY YEARS AND IT WON'T WORK...EVER.

JUST A BIG BAG OF BULLSHIT.... SO LAUGHABLE...BUT

SO DESTRUCTIVE WHILE WE HAVE TO WADE THROUGH IT ALL UNTIL

I have never had dental insurance so that has always come out of pocket. I learned to take care of my gums and teeth on my own so haven't needed one in many, many years. Dentists actually find problems that aren't there so always be careful of them.

You were already paying for it, you just weren't getting your money's worth. I don't give a flying fuck about the constitution; I say we throw it out and write a new one that addresses the issues of the 21st Century.
