No it is not. We are still talking milenea for this so called singularity.

Well I do think we've been around for a long time and we will continue to be around, but clearly our planet hasn't let us advance so much in previous eras , we always get periodically reseted back to the beginning. I don't see why that has to change, let a good cataclysm come and all the plastic BS we build nowadays will be gone in the blink of an eye. we have indeed been around for long times, but never have we truely been reset. the knowledge gained is always passed on between civilizations. Do not believe everyone capable of writing a book. We never had magnificent civilizations in the past that rivaled ours on technological levels. And we will continue to advance this civilization. Of this you do not have to doubt. You refer to "the event" -please tell us what specifically the event is?
