What are those objects/artifacts near the top of and left of the meteor in the footage? They have a rounded shape and in some shots they appear as dark objects and in others as lighter colored almost 'orbs'? They don't appear to be traveling with the same direction & trajectory as the meteor that is being filmed. Makes me wonder if it could be something similar to these:

It was traveling so much faster then any jet, there's no way.

Either way, you can see a missile-shaped object catch up to and collide with the meteor.

You can then see the meteor explode at that moment, and suddenly start losing altitude.

How do you explain away the 2nd object catching up to the meteor, and hitting it just as the meteor explodes?

How the fuck does a meteor eject a chunk, and then that chunk catches up and explodes the thing? Had to be a weapon.

Railgun, I'd guess. They shoot a big metal beam at the bastard at supersonic speeds. If the USA can mount one on a ship, surely Russia has a ground facility.

The tracking technology has been around since the 80's, it's the mechanics, speed and GPS that took sometime to come into service to shoot down missiles and high-speed threats. Believe it or not Russia and the US both have missiles designed to deal with this kind of threat.
