Im an archeologist.....its a mortar stone for grinding grains. There would be another stone associated with it, probably long gone.

The hole there was a thin spot worn down to nothing, they either wore through it or it got so thin it broke out at some later date.

IF these are natural formations, they are called holey stones. They are primarily used in magickal spell and workings. Google it.

It is a boat anchor stone from way back when. They find larger ones in the ocean quite often. Heck they even found them near the lower lava encrusted Noahs Arc site between the mountains of Arerat.

Yes it is.. that is one type the other type is a flattened river rock with notches knocked out in the center, they are "sinker stones" and were tied to the bottom of nets that the natives used for fishing, they would stretch a wide net across a creek or sections of river and circle the ends to catch fish.

I used to find them all the time on the Susquehanna river in PA.
