They say it was travelling at 20 miles per second. so from 1 minute and 20 seconds we get. 80 seconds. 80x20= 1600 miles away. Now, tell me how come they turn around after yukking it up to show a picture of a building with black smoke right up the street as though it just landed right there? Plainly the smoke trail of dubious origins has stopped. Does not follow and trail to the ground there. If the sound continued on, that much later, then why is it only stated to be 50 miles from where they are standing and not 1600 miles?? |

So you would have the Sonic boom followed buy the exposion/vaporization, then the sounds of all the little pieces remaining, breaking the sound barrier. All producing sonic booms. As these slow from friction with the atmo, the smoke trail stops. That about covers it. Last Edited by NervousAndJerky on 02/17/2013 04:39 PM |

Maybe... but I like the analysis of the 1908 Tunguska incident better: In order to picture the subsequent course of events, you need to have a precise idea of the relationships between the height of the first explosion (10,000 meters above the ground), the size of the areas of uprooted trees (many times larger than height) and the distance (hundreds of kilometers) that the pieces of the fragmented meteorite flew. (The interval between the explosions is the time taken for the remnants to fly from one blast area to another.) Above the Shishkov blast area, the meteorite had broken into several parts. The fragments scattered in different directions, but terminator spheres [terminology used to describe the ancient defense system weapons] bearing down from different sides caught and destroyed them. This is the reason why, on the one hand, in the areas of uprooted trees researchers have found several epicenters marked by trunks felled in different directions, while, on the other hand, all the witnesses spoke of hearing first a terribly powerful explosion (the fragmentation) and then, over the course of five to six minutes, something like an artillery cannonade (the "mopping-up" of the small pieces). quote from Part 3 Mysteries of Siberia's "Valley of Death" [link to www.bibliotecapleyades.net] |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27430942 Canada 02/17/2013 06:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You guys are blind. No videos showed any fireballs flying over buildings. Period. There were many dashboard videos released of 'A METEOR' approaching and dissipating long before reaching ground. I didn't seen on any of the videos fireballs above the buildings or huge explosions! Quoting: ME 31575640 I agree. The story was revised this morning on Yahoo to say that they "underestimated" and it was the power of 500Kt explosion. Really? That is 250 times stronger than Hiroshima. Yet, no flattened buildings, no EMP, no cars on fire. It seems odd with all the dashcams and sonic booms nobody had their cameras out to catch the meteor "striking" that building. The wall is neatly collapsed on one side. Not blasted over a large area. It looked to be not a factory that was currently working but an old abandoned one partially being dismantled anyway! Why would it EMP? It's iron blowing up from heat/friction not a nuclear fission device sending out mass amounts of Gamma radiation. I honestly don't believe any fragment hit that building. I think it was just old and in a state of disrepair and the shockwave itself knocked the roof down. Old peice of shit building just waiting to die so to say. Straw breaking a camel's back type of thing. |
