At this point im sure you understand the second commandment is violated by the Catholic Church. Instead of admitting it, you dodge it and try to justify it still. There might not be a way to get through to you, but I give you credit for inviting the discussion.

No... There is only one God!!!And there is no other God!
 Quoting: MaxMad

Then theres no need to pray to Mary either, is there?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9142675

It is Intercessory prayer... is it needed-no? Read about Jesus first miracle to understand its power!
 Quoting: MaxMad

The power of praying to Mary? You are misinterpreting the scripture again..Jesus is the only true intercessor between man and God.

I'm sure there a lot of solid Christians in the Catholic church, but Rome is the end-times center stage for the appostate church. Rome ruled most of the known world at one point and the direct geopolitical descendent of that former beast empire is the Vatican. Doesn't matter what denomination you chose to follow, the seat of power of the catholic church is worth watching and important developements and decisions worth noting. Even by it's own catholic "prophecy" of popes by St Malachy, the next pope is to be the last. So yeah, anybody with a brain and honest spirital insight should be interested in what is happening with the head of the catholic church right now.

Are you a bible believing catholic? What do the catholic prophecies tell you? Would this information not be important for everyone know, be forwarned, and heed the warning signs of the comming apocalypse?

Would the OP answer this please?

Mary is dead. She can neither see nor hear nor feel nor think.

She is in her grave awaiting resurrection day like every other mortal being who died a believer in God and her son, is NOT GOD, but the son of GOD, she merely a vessel and provider of the necessary bloodline.

Romans 8: 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Hebrews 7 24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Regretfully, I've done it myself. Most organized religion claims to be the only true religion. Most criticize other religions and use scriptures to back it without realizing the scriptures they use to condemn others apply to their own religion as much as the one they are condemning.

Guess it goes back to the scripture about let the person who is without sin be the first to cast a stone. And we all sin.

I don't "hate" Catholics MadMax. The reason I asked the question was because if you answer that then you will have your answere as to why Protestants are so eager to weigh in on anything to do with the pope.

btw... My dad and stepmom are Catholic. My great grandmother on my dad's side was a Methodist minister. I was raised Southern Baptist by my mom and have been able to get a good bird's eye view of it all as I love my family and my family loves God. I am a Christian (who happens to be Southern Baptist) who looks to the Bible and the lord for truth and direction not people.

People are people OP. To be clear, there are some important doctrinal differences, but Protestants are eager to "weigh in" because they are no different than their Catholic brothers in witnessing and ackowledging the importance of end time prophecy. In any group of people you will have some that are right and some that are wrong. The truth is not the property of this or that group. It just is. That is why Protestants "weigh in".
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787
