If they start producing "that shit", they will have 10 of them in a few years. Military budget is not a concern for them... And since almost every component of US carriers comes from China, they can/will be at least equal to US carriers.
From these pictures, it's maritime performance would be superb compared to old design US carriers.
Be realistic, China has access to all modern technologies.

AirCraft carriers are obsolete weapons used only by powerful nations against other nations too weak to fight back. That China would have something like this says a lot about their intent, and also their stupidity.

An air craft carrier can quickly and easily be turned into a smouldering coffin and sent to the ocean floor with maybe two or three hypersonic missile strikes of which there is absolutely no defense. They are nothing more than giant sitting ducks, and that includes those air craft carriers in the US fleet. They are slow, large targets and easily destroyed, contrary to bombastic claims of those who say they have defensive capability, they in fact have none against 3000 mph sea skimming missiles. The are a huge waste if military money and they needlessly endanger the lives of those who man those ships.

That is because they haven't built it yet. It is nothing but an artist rendering at this point. To be clear, China has the ability to do it, but they haven't yet.

That's why the first wave in modern warfare will be led with either conventional or nuclear ICBMs and long range stealth bombers to destroy enemy's radar and surveillance capabilities, then aircraft carriers will be deployed to provide air cover and transport for invading ground forces with shorter range aircraft and helicopter assets.

Yes, they are easy targets, but that is the reason that they have an armada around them to protect them.

They provide a capability to launch air attacks globally. ithout them, bombers would always have to fly to their targets from their home country, making fuel and tactics into big problems and greatly reducing capabilities.

Carrier's are not obsolete. They operate under the protective shield of other ships, missiles, guns & aircraft that are both above and below the surface. If it was so easy to sink a carrier, we would have lost one in recent history. But the fact is we haven't lost one in combat since ww2.

There is enough airpower on a single carrier to overcome the airpower of most nations on earth. So, its a huge advantage in times of crisis to deploy 2 or 3 aircraft carries to a particular region to secure the situation.

This is not to say that aircraft carriers can't be sunk or one won't be sunk in the future. The M1 Abrams is the best battle tested tank in the world, yet they can be destroyed but that doesn't stop us from producing them and using them to overwhelm the battlefield. The same goes with carriers. Unlike battleships, they are not obsolete and won't be in our lifetime.

In order for China to become a true Blue Water Navy, First they have to develop and deploy their carriers and then they must gain lots and lots of experience with them. In my opinion, even if China launched its first carrier this year, it would probably take a couple of decades to replace the US Navy. And in truth those carriers will only be as good as the ships, subs and aircraft that protect them.

So, in effect, China has a ways to go but is moving as we speak. The US, on the other hand, is a declining power. Our capabilities are decreasing while there's are increasing. Because of this emerging reality, I do believe we are going to be seriously challenged in the next 15 to 20 years.

China is the role model for the NWO. It represents a merger between Communism and Capitalism. Its where large Corporations give birth to governments and where the State rules over the people with an iron fist.

There are lots of people on this board who support Communism in concept because they view it as a poor man's progenitor. This view point fails the test of history. Its bad enough when Nations use their power to corrupt or overthrow other Nations but its far worse when the power of that Nation turns on itself. Something that is repetitive in Communist Nations. Governments have killed far more of its own people than all wars combined.

To this end, it is not good that a country like China is becoming the world leader. Not only do they have a proven history of killing millions upon millions of their own people but will be a terrible master on the world stage. Far worse that the United States. And I know we've done many bad things ourselves.

That's cause none have ever been targeted by missiles like the Sunburn or Moskit.

There have been plenty of tests done with these missiles, all indications are that if they are launched towards your ship, you are as good as fucked. By the time you detect them incoming it is too late to do anything to stop them. They are just too fast, and more recent missiles combine that speed with high tech maneuver technology making them impossible to shoot down.

Falkland War was very revealing. Even less advanced and slower missiles pose great danger to ships in spite of all their so-called protections, they are all just sitting ducks ripe for turning into death traps for all aboard them.

The US Navy is well aware of this and is very careful to keep them well out of range of these missiles when possible, only the oldest and least modern carriers are sent into the Persian Gulf and it is assumed they will be destroyed if war with Iran ever breaks out while they are there. They are currently not in the Persian Gulf at all according to this recent report:
