What if our Govt actually wants us to arm ourselves

Sorry, in my morning fog I may not have been clear enough. I am speculating that they want us armed due to the possibility of a foreign country attempting to invade us after they pull the plug, not because they want to annhilate their own citizens.
For example if China attempted to force the US to pay up, American citizens would be armed to the teeth for that and would fight to the very end.

I think the government cares about themselves far more than they care about us, they just can't defend themselves without our participation if it came to that. I'm not so foolish to think they are compassionate about us, we serve their needs is all.
