Labor Unions Want Out of Obamacare!

No. Unions only care about membership and dues.

This was the plan all along. Unions will get government subsidies to maintain their current health plans. Obamacare will suck.

This will encourage millions to join Labor Unions to get the better healthcare. It will encourage workers to agitate to Unionize their workplace. It will encourage those in "right to work" states to lobby their legislators to make Unions mandatory.

It's a long-range plan. This is part of it.

We can only dream.

Then it can be a worker's paradise like Russia in the 70's and 80's.

Actually, they ruled that the mandate was a "tax"....not a penalty.

This is problematic because the bill was started in the Senate. Tax bills cannot start in the Senate. Penalty bills can.

A lawsuit has already been filed calling this into question.

The ruling included a poison pill.

Was it 'really' the best thing? Look where we (you) are now - a country in the crapper...

It already has. I have had the same insurane policy through work for 5 years. 5 years ago it cost me $120/mo now it costs me $340/mo. Not to mention my office visit co-pay has doubled and my prescriptions co-pay has doubled. But I'd rather keep what I have than go to Obamacare.

The catch-22 in some cases is that some workers are forced to become a union member to get a job. With the terrible job market some people are forced to make the decision to become a union member to put food on the table for their families.

Take out the capital on your incomplete sentence and you'll be one more step closer to literal perfection.

Then when you have expensive health care you can always tell your doctor to write DAW for brand name drugs. Have your insurance pay hundreds more for trivial reasons at the cost of nothing to you.

A little history here, my grand father (Irish catholic) was a big time union man was on the international chairman of the board for his union. He was even on Nixon's List. He fought the hard battles in the day no doubt. He and I had many union talks including my disagreement with him that democrats are your ticket. He was a democrat, he even convinced me that Jimmy Carter was a godsend. Well I didn't vote. Still had reservations about the democrats. I talked about how the Kennedys tried to take down the teamsters. Didn't matter, he was democrat through and through. My dad is now an Obama supporter and devout Catholic. He is a union man also.
So here I am a right wing anti-liberal. I went totally against my upbringing. My dad was so influenced by his father in law that a German protestant turned Devout Irish catholic. Me, I feel right wing German with little hope for any religion. So as far as Obama Care it's just a fascist left wing ploy to get more people dependent on big government and the Unions help make this hospital bed they are trying to escape from.

WASHINGTON -- Citing financial concerns, the Obama administration has begun quietly winding down one of the earliest programs created by the president's health care overhaul, a plan that helps people with existing medical problems who can't get private insurance.

In an afternoon teleconference with state counterparts, administration officials said Friday the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, or PCIP, will stop taking new applications. People already in the plan will not lose coverage.

If it is good enough for everyone, it is good enough for pilossi and obammy!

On the opposite end always been self employed and never had good insurance but as far as I can see this changed nothing except make shitty insurance more unaffordable.
