Daniel 8:25 refers to Antiochus, in case you werent follwingthe history. Look up Antiochus and his history with Israel, see if it doesnt exactly match the end of Daniel 8 and 11.

Re: For Bible Students
Spitting scripture back and forth for 3 solid days, as if 5 year olds bantering mine no mine no mine ..... just unbelievable.

You have no concept of Spirituality whatsoever.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34820019

You are the one with nothing to add, making it painfully obvious who is the one with no concept of what the Bible is saying.
 Quoting: MHz

Don't CARE what your little book is saying. Furthermore, why WOULD I care about a book that its own followers can't agree on what the damn thing says!!

The Bible has no bearing towards Spirituality, it only hinders it by putting OTHER MENS THOUGHTS between a human and God.

Why am I in this thread if I don't care? Just to give you shit for bringing religion to a goddamn conspiracy site. YOU DON'T BELONG HERE, what the fuck don't you babbling parroting religious idiots get about this? Fucking hell you people are as dumb as a bag of hammers.

Re: For Bible Students
You're such an inspiration for the ways
That I'll never ever choose to be
Oh so many ways for me to show you
How the savior has abandoned you
Fuck your God
Your Lord and your Christ
He did this
Took all you had and
Left you this way
Still you pray, you never stray
Never taste of the fruit
You never thought to question why

It's not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side
Praise the one who left you
Broken down and paralyzed
He did it all for you
He did it all for you

Oh so many many ways for me to show you
How your dogma has abandoned you
Pray to your Christ, to your god
Never taste of the fruit
Never stray, never break
Never---choke on a lie
Even though he's the one who did this to you
You never thought to question why

Not like you killed someone
It's Not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side
Talk to Jesus Christ
As if he knows the reasons why
He did it all for you
Did it all for you
He did it all for you

Re: For Bible Students
A woman goes to her rabbi with a serious problem.

Her two female parrots have picked up a bad habit. Any time she has visitors, the two parrots embarrass her by saying, in unison, “Hi ! We’re prostitutes. Want to have some fun?”

To her surprise, the rabbi breaks into a smile, explaining that he has two male parrots which he has trained to pray and who’ve become very observant, spending much of the day praying in their cage.

He’s confident that if the woman brings her two parrots over to his house, his two parrots will exert such a positive influence that her birds will turn into model parrots.

The next day the woman drives over to the rabbi’s house and brings her two parrots into his home. As she looks around, she notices a large cage with two parrots, each wearing a little kippah and tiny tallis and each holding a miniature siddur, while they rock back and forth in prayer.

Sure enough, as soon as she places her female parrots in the cage, they shout out to their male counterparts: “Hi! We’re prostitutes.

Want to have some fun ?”

One of the rabbi’s parrots immediately turns to the other, squawking: “Moishe, put the f***king book down. Our prayers have been answered!”

Re: For Bible Students
The king in Daniel 8:21 is the same person in Daniel 11:3. The surrounding text confirms that (4 winds/kingdoms). Scripture does repeat some points sometimes. Like Jesus being the Messiah.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2183540

So this applies to which reference or both?

Re:7:1:
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth,
holding the four winds of the earth,
that the wind should not blow on the earth,
nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

You don't seem to have taken the beasts into account as they also cover the 4 metal kingdoms using different terms.

Da:7:4:
The first was like a lion,
and had eagle's wings:
I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked,
and it was lifted up from the earth,
and made stand upon the feet as a man,
and a man's heart was given to it.

The above is Neb alone in Da:4

Da:7:5:
And behold another beast,
a second,
like to a bear,
and it raised up itself on one side,
and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it:
and they said thus unto it,
Arise,
devour much flesh.

The above is Neb's son, Cyrus and Darius.

Da:7:6:
After this I beheld,
and lo another,
like a leopard,
which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl;
the beast had also four heads;
and dominion was given to it.

The above is Alex and any Greek Generals, the 4 wings are a possible 4 rulers that come after Greece, of the next 4 rulers only Rome qualifies as a 'dominion' the others were bit players. The dominion not only included Jerusalem and the promised land but in 70AD the took control of the Temple area and that is to remain that way until the iron comes and the iron is fallen angels just like before the flood when they were put into the pit except Satan. The beast from the Pit is a fallen angel that makes the return from the pit in Re:9.

De:33:2:
And he said, The LORD came from Sinai,
and rose up from Seir unto them;
he shined forth from mount Paran,
and he came with ten thousands of saints:
from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

Da:7:7:
After this I saw in the night visions,
and behold a fourth beast,
dreadful and terrible,
and strong exceedingly;
and it had great iron teeth:
it devoured and brake in pieces,
and stamped the residue with the feet of it:
and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it;
and it had ten horns.

Re: For Bible Students
FAIL but nice try
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21632593

Sorry, how did the true meaning go again?
 Quoting: MHz

The Mystery of Iniquity was a very real power in Paul's time and long before that as well. That is the same power that rules the world today. It is the kingdom of satan. There is a very real instrumentality that is restraining the kingdom of satan and not just the abstract concept of "prophecy". Prophecy describes what will happen, but prophecy is not one of the actors. When the Old Testament spoke prophetically about a coming saviour no one thought that Prophecy would be their salvation. Everyone who believed expected a real, live saviour to come. And He did.

The sophism of “prophecy is the restrainer” only superficially (and dishonestly) appears to solve the riddle. But even a shallow exploration of the argument reveals that this response fails to answer any questions at all.

Where did I ever say anything about having the true meaning? I would not claim to have the true meaning about anything but the basics, such as CHrist and Him crucified.

I want to tell you what I think the bible is...

It is a sacred book.

It is inspired.

It has 80 books written by 60 authors (roughly).

There were 400 years in between the old testament and the new.

But it is so much more. When you ask the Holy Spirit to guide you while you read it it becomes a lesson for you that is relevant for that moment in your life. As I study the bible I try to remember it is a living thing.
But Lord, he stinketh!

What was inside of Antiochus may be what "was, is not and yet is"

There is something perculiar about Chapters 11 and 12. They seem to go back and forth in time from the future to the very distant future from Daniel's perspective.

It is as if Antiochus or some demon that possessed him was ahead of his(its) time. Antiochus was "restrained" by the Roman Army. In his thirst for conquest.

And when we cannot trust the news we here right now can you really trust the history spoon fed regarding that which happened 2000+ years past regarding the death of a Syrian King?

And to further answer your question, prophecy does not "do" anything. Prophecy tells us about those who do the doing. For the restrainer we have a group of probably actors that includes the Holy Spirit, Satan, Michael, Jesus, and even the Man of Sin himself. These are the actors whose actions prophecy describes and foretells. But which one is the restrainer is a question best left alone because it is not pertinent to salvation, only causes strife and is impossible to know in this life.

In fact it is you who is proselytizing.

Yes, a fallen angel who might have possessed one or more human beings in the past.

Rome was and IS the fourth kingdom. Rome is a kingdom and not a king. A king is an individual person. Words are important. We should not try to jam a square peg into a round hole byy making words take on meanings that they do not have.
