You gotta ask yourself, though: If a UFO could take out a meteor going however many thousands of miles an hour like that, why not just stop it in space and not let it get anywhere near Earth? Are they trying to put on a show? |

He has a lot of internet presence, it seems. Does he have good intentions? [link to danielofdoria.whynotnews.eu] I have never heard of this person. I'm suspicious of people who speak in generalities or unprovable conclusions, but I haven't had time to evaluate DOD's communications. Listening to the vid on the first page, it is talking about what a jewel of a planet we have here... |

The change in direction of the sunlight hitting the windscreen causes the speck (which was dark because it was momentarily blocking the sun's light) to vanish because some of the light reflected off the windscreen glass instead of passing through it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34595515 Wow, my first shill - I'm honored! Must be doing something right. |

(I don't know why there are so many annoying clicks and bumps in this video.) I think it would be good to try and establish a timeline of what happened when, so I'm checking out youtubes with "Russian meteor" titles: "Chelyabinsk, Russia Meteor explodes in the sky with AMAZING sound shockwave..." |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 34595515 United Kingdom 02/17/2013 03:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The idea that this meteor was shot down by a HUMAN missile is ludicrous. Meteors travel so fast and their entry into the atmosphere is so unexpected/unpredicable that there is abolutely NO WAY that any military - whether Russian or American - could know that this meteor was coming in and be able to track it. It was far too small to be picked up on radar. |

There's a ton of elite tech that exists but is kept completely secret except in case of catastrophic events. All the top end military tech, leaps and bounds ahead of our "current" VERY AGED military tech is reserved for all out warfare situations, such as china or russia launching a full scale attack. At that moment, top secret tech will be revealed, they aren't just going to march out their latest and greatest for a shit hole like Iraq. Bob Bowman, head of the STARWARS program accidentally admitted that they had orbiting head of state decapitation systems that could strategically strike the heads of states of all enemy nations at once - in the 70's. So whether domestic military tech from Russia or America was used to take out that meteor, or some secret alien protectorate race used their tech, something clearly attacked that rock. When we consider the area that rock was about to hit, massive nuclear stockpiles and waste, it would have been catastrophic if it hit intact. It would have been a 1,000 times more powerful than the blast wave that destroyed windows for hundreds of miles. |

And to more precisely answer your specific question "Why don't we have (modern convenience) for all" it's because there's a big club. And you, I, and everyone we know - ain't in it. The world population is seen as nothing more than a viral plague that is unnecessary now thanks to machinery. We're just a waste of air and skin to these guys. All modern convenience that we have was ONLY given to us so that it could track us. Comps/phones/gps etc etc etc. |

A Rail Gun shoots a super dense material like a Depleted Uranium Bullet at a object to smash through it. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 14481131 United States 02/17/2013 04:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Interesting! Here's what it says: With all of this buzz going on with the recent meteor in Russia I thought some of you would like to read up a little on this if you haven't already. It was on Ancient Aliens a while back. Read it, and notice the location where they claim it is and compare it to this 'meteor shot down in Russia' event. There are two pages, read both to get all the details. ' According to many believers, these cauldrons are actually defense weapons built by ancient aliens to defend our planet against all space based threats whether by hostile aliens, asteroids or comet strikes' I think I saw that. As it mentions later in that thread, people who get near it supposedly get sick, as with some other "alien"-related sites. Someone asks "Well, why wouldn't it shoot down planes, then?" If you can make a device that can crack-shoot meteors down and fly THROUGH them, I'm sure they're savvy enough to make them able to tell the difference between a piece of space debris (meteor) and a man-made conveyance. |
