RUSSIAN METEOR DESTROYED BY UFO - Hits It DEAD-ON, then SPEEDS PAST IT!!

It's a speck of dirt stuck on the car windscreen that appears to catch up with the image of the meteor in the line of sight of the camera, then moves away again as the angle of the flight path of the meteorite relative to the camera changes due to the car changing direction to follow the meteor trail. The change in direction of the sunlight hitting the windscreen causes the speck (which was dark because it was momentarily blocking the sun's light) to vanish because some of the light reflected off the windscreen glass instead of passing through it.

A couple of questions: If this is a dashcam, why does it all of a sudden swoop up and focus on the meteor? If the driver did this, wouldn't you hear him (on the version without the music) exclaim or something?

Also, I'm kind of a focus-y person, and I haven't really noticed those two dark objects in the video. What are those - are they artifacts? I think someone else might have mentioned them - if that was on this thread, please accept my apologies for not getting into that, because it's very important!

everybody in russia has dashcams because insurance fraud is so common, people will either jump in front of ur car or back into you in order to claim insurance or file a lawsuit. im considering getting a cheap cam just in case, less than 100 bucks they have good ones. its better than insurance going up or a lawsuit being filed that results in thousands of dollars.

I downloaded the original video, something does come forward into the tail, hitting the meteor. And it does explode afterwards too. Look up the original video uploaded on youtube from RT.

It swoops up because the person edited the video with a software program to zoom in on the meteor. The black dots are on the windshield.

If this russian meteor would have came during the Aussie Bloke era( a very great planet x style hoax/role-play on GLP a very long time ago) Everyone here would have gone ape shit.

I think the fastest missiles top out at around 15k miles per hour. No way is that a man made missile, photoshop imo, or just a smaller more streamlined part of the asteroid over taking the main body.

The meteor was struck by a Rail Gun Kinetic Projectile.

They shot it so that it would break apart.

It does look more like it actually happened than like it was created holigrammically (not a word, probably).

Some things to keep in mind about Russia:

Russia is a large, paranoid, militaristic country speckled with heavy industry closed cities that house tens of thousands of people to work in a single uranium enrichment facility.

They have the largest amount of airspace to defend in the world, and also probably the world's largest ballistic defense program.

They have radar structures the size of office buildings.

They have the best watched airspace in the world.

A 50-foot wide space rock is MUCH easier to track than, say, a radar-cutting stealth aircraft. It has a massive heat signature, massive profile, easily identifiable shape to computers... they probably knew it was coming down days ago.

The meteor was going to land on a VERY BAD piece of land, which happens to be one of the most irradiated places on earth, and still holds a host of nuclear facilities. As in, if that meteor came down full force, it could have ended life on the planet. The whole atmosphere would be full of decades of dumped Soviet radioactive particles.

If Russia had ANY idea of the trajectory, it would be their absolute mandate to destroy the rock by any means possible, even at the risk of revealing the capabilities of their best anti-air systems.

Do you guys know what the odds are of a meteor hitting THAT particularly radioactive part of huge-ass Russia? Astronomically small. I've seen it suggested another power may have even "steered" the space rock for this very reason, to find out for sure if Russia has kinetic anti-air systems in place.

And those of you doubting the Kinetic Railgun theory: The US is mounting them on battleships, publicly. That means it's decades old technology if it's being shown off.

If you can fire a large metal beam at supersonic speeds using the nuclear reactor on a floating ship, imagine what you could do with the energy from an actual power plant facility at your disposal. Russia is lousy with 'em.

The idea that this meteor was shot down by a HUMAN missile is ludicrous. Meteors travel so fast and their entry into the atmosphere is so unexpected/unpredicable that there is abolutely NO WAY that any military - whether Russian or American - could know that this meteor was coming in and be able to track it. It was far too small to be picked up on radar.

You are wrong. USA (and Russians perhaps also) had from 80` the possibilities to detect by radars objects in space as small as basketball ball from 37.000 km of Earth.
