Hmmm..my mother neighbour was pregnant with twins, I saw the scans, she and her hubby were very excited, due to the fact that she was told that she would never be able to get preggers. The scan photos clearly showed twins...clearly, she had the scans done at about 7 months. At eight months she came over to my mothers house, she was very upset because the twins were gone. No miscarriage, no birth, no pain...nothing..just gone. The doctors said it must have been a phantom pregnancy My mother is an ex midwife and no fool We looked at the scans again and there were defiantly two babies a month prior They had simply vanished |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34623596 maybe a similar mechnisism is in play here, its technically possible. Well, just speaking from personal experience...I once had a missed miscarriage at 11-13 weeks, and of course, that is way smaller than a term baby. Mine did not absorb, instead it shrank just a tiny, tiny bit (only enough that the ultrasound tech could measure it from my last scan) and the fluid and everything was still there. The embryo did not disappear. How could a full term pregnancy just liquefy? That shit cray. |
