I have first hand experience with this. I posted the other night to see if anyone else has had FBI camp out in their neighborhood. We had a "training exercise" in our cul- de-sac last week. There were 3 different vehicles per day each pulling an 8 hour shift. We asked them who they were and they said FBI. When we called the local police, they verified that that was FBI and they had to defer any activity on the block to the Feds.

I can't believe the agents were so cordial.
Sounds like they're trying to recruit sniches. A full swat team will visit next.

In a way, I feel for the agent. He was polite, courteous, and professional. A little pushy in a couple of spots, but still basically just some poor bastard doing his job.

Of course, many of the people that rounded up people for the gulags were just 'doing their job'. The woman was very brave and knew her rights and that's important these days.

If she's really a threat.. you would think they would refrain from knocking on her front door and instead observe her from a distance and build a case.. going the doorbell route makes me conclude their real goal was intimidation.

I've had a couple of run ins with the FBI. Once I let them search my home. They tend to act very professionally and they are more aware of what your rights are than local police. That said, they violated my rights by entering my home when they thought nobody was watching. My grandmother who lived next door (she had no vehicle and did not answer when they knocked on her door because she thought they were salesmen) watched them enter my house. They had no warrant.

Maybe they think they're in an episode of Criminal Minds?
