E! News has exclusively obtained the petition filed yesterday by Tim McCready that resulted in the singer being ordered away for up to three weeks to undergo mental-health and substance-abuse evaluations.

"Since boyfriend (David Wilson) shot himself she has been in bed for 3 wks," wrote the elder McCready. "Sleeps all day. Drinks all night and is taking Rx drugs. Not bathing or even helping take care of her 2 children."

I just read the wiki article about her as I didn't know who she was.

It sounds like she had a very troubled life, and her boyfriend killed himself a few days ago. That is sad.

That's really sad, my heart goes out to her family, especially her kids. <3

I hope God does not send her to an eternal hell for killing herself.

suicide will not get you there

Wow- she was released from involuntary commitment after only ONE DAY. In Tennessee an involuntary commitment is usually 5 days unless a judge releases you. I imagine there may be some lawsuits coming from her family, who clearly knew she was in danger.

I think it's highly unusual for a female to shoot herself. Also, how did she get ahold of a gun if she was committed for observation and detox? Guess they weren't watching over her very well....

In May 2005, McCready's ex-boyfriend, Billy McKnight, was arrested and charged with attempted murder after beating and choking her.[3][10] After reporting to People magazine that she had cut ties with her abuser, McCready was found unconscious the following July, in a hotel lobby in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, after attempting suicide. She was hospitalized for a drug overdose after washing down a large amount of undisclosed drugs with alcohol.[11] That September, when she was pregnant with McKnight's child, she attempted suicide again by overdosing on antidepressants.

On December 17, 2008, paramedics were called to McCready's Nashville home after an apparent suicide attempt; they transported her to a hospital after finding wounds on her wrists.

On May 25, 2010, McCready was hospitalized in Cape Coral, Florida, for a possible drug overdose; she may have had a reaction to Darvocet her mother had given her.[18] She was released later that day and returned home

You know.... It really ISN'T normal for a woman to shoot herself. Ask any psychologist.

Women take a less "messy" approach to suicide. They usually do pills, carbon monoxide (car in the garage running), etc....

Maybe this is retaliation homicide for her late boyfriend ????

She was abused by a famous baseball star when she was younger I think. Her life was a mess.
