I just went through a week of cat hell around my house... there's a female in heat that hangs out in my yard and as many as 7 males were 'courting' her.

It's 'that time'.

Re: Florida cat acting weird time of meteor showers
So I live in Florida, and we heard this stray cat carrying out for an hour or so, i think it was around 8ish. The cat even came up to my screen door knocking and trying to get in. Was really weird. I made a plate of food for him, and then he disappeared, haven't heard him since. So I made it joke it must be a sign of some sort of pending doom. Well now i am reading people all over Florida saw meteors at that time including in my area.

Horny cats do that shit all the time, it needs to be spayed or neutered, then it will stop.

Ive lived with cats all my life. Although they may have a sixth sense or some phenomenal trait, I dont think they could sense danger or death from an incoming meteor or celestial body until it was visible or audible.

Re: Florida cat acting weird time of meteor showers
Our cat is acting normal. Well she has been extra lazy. Now our dog, a Westie, has been annoying me. He wants in, then he wants out, scratches on the door and wants in and then turn around and whimpers at the door and wants out. This has been going on since Thursday.
 Quoting: JustJen 25741088

My dog died but she did that every day and night for 8 years. He is just being a dog if you ask me. I mean what else do they have to do lol. My dog always thought she was missing something in the backyard. Then she would realize nothing is going on, but then she would forget and have to go back outside again. And on and on and on.
