Florida cat acting weird time of meteor showers

the same happened to me yesterday, it was a black cat with a white chest, he came meowing to my family out of nowhere when we got home, like he was expecting us or something, we pet him a little then he stayed at the door for like half an hour and left, i have seen him again!! i live in florida also!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cats are weird. All the time.

I just went through a week of cat hell around my house... there's a female in heat that hangs out in my yard and as many as 7 males were 'courting' her.

It's 'that time'.

Wasn't lucky enough to see a meteor but here is best pictures I've found yet, looks pretty big:

So I live in Florida, and we heard this stray cat carrying out for an hour or so, i think it was around 8ish. The cat even came up to my screen door knocking and trying to get in. Was really weird. I made a plate of food for him, and then he disappeared, haven't heard him since. So I made it joke it must be a sign of some sort of pending doom. Well now i am reading people all over Florida saw meteors at that time including in my area.

JustJen - Do you live in Florida? I am thinking they could be acting up due to the meteor shower.

......and YES it is cold in Florida, this has been coldest weekend so far this year.... then again you yankees are probably laughing at us for saying that

Horny cats do that shit all the time, it needs to be spayed or neutered, then it will stop.

My dog died but she did that every day and night for 8 years. He is just being a dog if you ask me. I mean what else do they have to do lol. My dog always thought she was missing something in the backyard. Then she would realize nothing is going on, but then she would forget and have to go back outside again. And on and on and on.
