I was the smallest so I had to try harder even though it hurt more. My dad came out to watch us one time and I wanted to impress him with my swing jumping. I got that swing so high I was afraid to jump out...but I had to....so I jumped....and my dad caught me mid air, keeping me from hurting myself and I saved face. |

They would skip the rope while I jumped. We would all laugh hysterically, even though there was no obvious reason to, except that we were having fun. This went on all summer during that time. Great times :) |

I had seen some toy size kitchen appliances in a toy store window near my home which was far from where she lived (about an hour by bus) One time when I was staying with her we were talking about cooking and baking, I mentioned that there were things for children to keep house like big people (I was 4). The next day she took me on an "adventure". We ended up at the store and she bought the pint sized sink, stove and fridge for me. It wasn't the toys it was the talking and the "adventure" and us cooking together with our own appliances. |
