Really odd, i want to know why they are grouping too?

The Dailymail article did suggest that the explanation is a migratory pattern. That's probably the best explanation you're going to get.

WTH is a migratory pattern. It's just some fancy word for movement aka "I'm making things up so that I can sound like what i'm talking about" HAHA

If they Beach Themselves in mass Suicide then be very concerned.

Dolphins don't beach for any other purpose.

This is a bad OMEN. Somthing is terribly wrong with the numbers.

This is way so not normal.

I am not liking all these Omens Lately. The Dove. The lightening. The Dolphins. The signs in the Sky.

People you have 3 weeks to get it together. March 20th 2013 it all starts to unravel in a big way. I just know it.

Don't wait to get it together. Not this time.

Just by viewing the video, the dolphins seem to be traveling towards the sun. Which would mean they are either going east or west depending on if it's the sunset or the sunrise? Anyone know?

So, this is 500-6,500 times the size of the normal groups that travel the seas

"Dolphins typically travel in groups of anywhere between 15 and 200 which are called pods."

I saw this once fishing off the coast of Mexico. About 10 miles out there suddenly appeared a massive number of dolphins. They were feeding on a school of tuna! We headed in that direction and sure enough we couldn't get them in the boat fast enough with 4 lines in the water! One of the most unforgettable scenes of my life.

a comment from the article:

"I surf and teach sailing in San Diego, and I've seen large groups like this many times, maybe not quite this big, but as far as the eye can see. It just that normally they are more than 100 miles off shore, so unless you're out sailing or fishing, you're not going to see them. "
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12161460

Oh yeah...cause most people who surf and teach sailing are commonly 100 miles offshore. What an idiot. And of course...we can all see 100 miles offshore from the beach
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15368686

well you missed his points didn't you

there are waves off shore....near the channel islands as a matter of fact...well off shore

and people don't sail 100 mi offshore?
tell that to Columbus, DeGama, Magellean...and 1000s of recreational sailors

and no one said to view 100 mi FROM shore

so we agree...you're an idiot
