Yup, a good mind is sound all the way to the top.
Exercise control over your emotions and gain higher intellect above. We all have a finite amount of conscious power. Using all of it on emotional concepts will starve the higher mind.
Same with music. Focus on music and expression and you loose the higher mind functions. But you still retain emotions, instinct as they are lower minds.
Have an orgasm and you can't think for shit because the only 2 minds powered are the Base and Sexuality. Everything else goes dim for the moment.
Those who learn to focus on instinct can tune out the emotions.
It is a dynamic skill set we all have.
