Re: Emotions are the lowest form of consciousness
The term most widely used today is...To be snared up on an emotional chaotic roller coaster ride where the controller walks away after he turns the ride up to full speed ahead, leaving you with no way to stop the ride and no way to escape...

Remember this moment!!! the un-checked chaotic emotional snares used on the unaware masses on Sept 11,2001 as they watched the horror of a staged attack and what they accomplished during the moments that the spirit of FEAR took possession of those who were dismayed at what was happening...

The FEAR they were viewing with their eyes captured them with their emotions by using their eyes to deceive them...This has always been known as the "Thomas Effect"

Psychologists will tell you there are many emotions and if left un-checked these emotions can and will be used to control your actions. This is exactly what a serial killer does, IT uses your emotions to feed itself and then IT kills ITS victims. First spiritually and then physically

Is this the last Time that these un-checked emotions will be used against the un-aware...

NO it is not the last Time, for these ones who do such things are perfecting their Trade of Evil Wickedness by the use of Strong Illusions to hide their very actions so that we might believe a lie and be willing to authorize them to go forth in our name to KILL Her Remnant Seed...

I SEE YOU, I SEE IT, CAN YOU SEE Those who would do anything for the Beast who's deadly wound is healed by those who follow IT,who bow and worship the Beast...

Re: Emotions are the lowest form of consciousness
"Emotions are the lowest form of consciousness. Emotional actions are the most contracted, narrowing, dangerous form of behavior.

The romantic poetry and fiction of the last 200 years has quite blinded us to the fact that emotions are an active and harmful form of stupor.

Any peasant can tell you that. Beware of emotions. Any child can tell you that. Watch out for the emotional person. He is a lurching lunatic.

Emotions are caused by biochemical secretions in the body to serve during the state of acute emergency. An emotional person is a blind, crazed maniac. Emotions are addictive and narcotic and stupefacient.

Do not trust anyone who comes on emotional.

What are the emotions? In a book entitled Interpersonal Diagnosis of Personality, written when I was a psychologist, I presented classifications of emotions and detailed descriptions of their moderate and extreme manifestations. Emotions are all based on fear. [...]

The emotional person cannot think; he cannot perform any effective game action (except in acts of physical aggression and strength). The emotional person is turned off sensually. His body is a churning robot. [...]

The only state in which we can learn, harmonize, grow, merge, join, understand is the absence of emotion. This is called bliss or ecstasy, attained through centering the emotions. [...]

Conscious love is not an emotion; it is serene merging with yourself, with other people, with other forms of energy. Love cannot exist in an emotional state. [...]

The great kick of the mystic experience, the exultant, ecstatic hit, is the sudden relief from emotional pressure.

Everyone has emotions, even an old man does, humans simply have emotions and you can't change that

now, if you want to remove emotions from the equation of life i suggest you use a lot of meds, which in the end will destroy your health and mind, so in the end the emotional person is better than the one who is using drugs to stop emotions, because the one who uses the drugs is the one who will most likely do bad things at some point

“There's nothing to mourn about death any more than there is to mourn about the growing of a flower. What is terrible is not death but the lives people live or don't live up until their death. They don't honor their own lives, they piss on their lives. They shit them away. Dumb fuckers. They concentrate too much on fucking, movies, money, family, fucking. Their minds are full of cotton. They swallow God without thinking, they swallow country without thinking. Soon they forget how to think, they let others think for them. Their brains are stuffed with cotton. They look ugly, they talk ugly, they walk ugly. Play them the great music of the centuries and they can't hear it. Most people's deaths are a sham. There's nothing left to die.”

Re: Emotions are the lowest form of consciousness
No emotions relate to love.

Love is not something you do for another,
It us not how you act toward another,
There is nothing you can do that constitutes loving another

No action that of itself is loving
Love is a way of being
and more then that it is simply being

Being with another person no matter how they may be
Holding no judgements, holding no agendas
No need for them to experience your love.

This is Love without emotion

The results are showing love as the Spirit leads.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15534724

And when I speak of the sufferings of Christ, two great virtues of Christ come to mind - His unprecedented patience, and His humility. Through these, He endured all the abuses, insults and offenses which men inflicted upon Him. Christ endured all of these and remained silent, calm and unmoved, as though nothing were happening. Not a tear fell from His eyes.

This is great patience, this is self-mastery, this is Love.

This is a rock which nothing can shatter

Christ was able to behave in such manner because he knew man very well and he had patience, he tolerated the ignorance of man and man's abuses, Christ was the wisest and he had an unbreakable heart

Emotion is simply the power which a stimulus has over you. You will repeat that relational sequence until you see it for wihat it is or reactively jump to the defense of said reaction because: Everybody is doing it.

Re: Emotions are the lowest form of consciousness
Emotionally immature: You react to your emotions and are driven by them.

So the goal is to advance to...

Emotionally mature and high level of consciousness: You respond emotionally and use emotions as a tool to advance in life and create a better life for yourself and around you E-motion. Energy in motion. You can create art, music, beautiful architecture. You have become compassionate. You can heal. You can experience bliss. Emotions are the tools to get you there. Your mind can never accomplish that alone.

THIS^^^
Beautifully put. OP is throwing out the baby with the bathwater, lumping ALL emotion together, a very deceptive tactic IMO.

I have read (who knows if it's true, but an interesting idea) that's what the grays did long ago - decided that all emotion was bad, since anger led to violence. And that's why they're supposedly in the fix they're in, dying out as a race, needing to re-invigorate their life force with ours.

Dysfunctional emotional expression should not be used as the sole example of emotion, to justify the exclusion of all. Such a distasteful fallacy. What healthy, balanced human being can possibly justify excluding love?

Another fallacy many fall into is the idea that being highly spiritually developed requires "control" over the emotions (again, all emotions lumped together). We were given (healthy, balanced) emotions for a reason. They guide us, let us know when something needs to be changed. They are an infallible BS detector.

Emotions are the essence of life, you are meant to experience each and every one depending on what is happening. Avoiding even one or getting bogged down where you fail to be able to change them as the situation changes is where the problem begins.

Re: Emotions are the lowest form of consciousness
great thread!

emotions for me seem to be energetic. sometimes the energy they contain is constructive but then other times it is destructive.

Im trying to understand emotions.. sometimes they are useful for acomplishimg our goals and other times they seem not to be useful.

I know that I can only do so much without them, to break through that barier it seems that emotions are needed.

I think they are available to control us or to control them. when they control us we dont seem to benifit from that but when we control them they are benificial.

I would say that they are needed. they are tools.

we can use them for good or bad but they can also use us for the same.

the trick is knowing when you are using or being used.

do you need your own tools or shall someone else use them for or against you?

Re: Emotions are the lowest form of consciousness
I agree with this in a lot of ways in that people lose rational thought when emotions come into play ( like fear ). But to have no empathy or passion for anything wouldn't exactly be right either. Having both controlled emotions and rational thought seems like the best option.

OP is 100% correct. Why do you think the media's first objective is to get people to react emotionally to a story? Sandy Hook is a prime example- once people attach emotionally, critical thinking goes out the window. Many people are blinded by their emotions- which can be as easily triggered as pushing a button. And don't think The Thugs in Charge are not aware of this.

If you had read the article, then you would realize your post is slightly retarded. You describe fight or flight scenario which it talks about when you are in danger, totally separate from the point being made, also different part of the brain activated. Same as basic hunger, basic survival response.

Furthermore, why do some get activate fight or flight response prior to giving a speech if they have a phobia. It makes no sense to get sweaty palms, get dizzy, or hyperventilate when there is no real threat, no ones life is in real danger?
