Can someone smarter than me give some insight to what if anything this could mean. More to come?

ZUZU VS IZU!!!, who will win the ground breaking fight!!!
Torchia was born in 1620. He was apprenticed in Leyden under the Elzevir family. After returning to Venice he published small works on philosophical and esoteric themes. In 1666, Torchia published De Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis (The Nine Doors to the Kingdom of Shadows), which was in turn based on the Delomelanicon, or Invocation of Darkness, a work supposedly written by Lucifer and that would allow the reader to summon devils. The Inquisition condemned Torchia for magic and witchcraft and burned him at the stake in 1667.

You know what is even more strange? That you compare a USGS quake with a CSEM quake.

Kermadec Islands, New Zealand 6.1 10.0 CSEM-EMSC Feed

East Of The Izu Islands 6.0 33.0 CSEM-EMSC Feed

10km depth vs 33km depth. They aren't so similar any more now do they?

My bad.

Your Right, I hadn't caught that.. Are the readings usually that far off between agencies for the same quake? I don’t think I’ve ever really paid attention before. I will now though.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I'm not an expert, but i do check the quakes very regularly.

Yes, it's very common that there are huge differences in depths and small differences in EQ between the many agencies.

I have absolutely no idea why there are so many differences, maybe someone else in here can point that out?

If that would be the case they are doing an awfull job trying to hide it.

Another strange thing i noticed: USGS shows the 6.1 New Zealand EQ, while New Zealands own seismo agency doesn't show the 6.1 on their map, see: [link to www.geonet.org.nz]

No, still not on USGS, strange.

But we do have this new one. Not especially large but it seems the earth has decided to let off a little stress.

I have been seeing many reports of increased volcanic activity. Seems a lot of people do not worry about this believing where they live is safe from such risk. I hope they never have to see the worldwide effects of a super volcano.

Your OP shows PRELIMINARY reports, they are computer generated, they have to be reviewed by seismologists, take a look now they are nothing alike.

And don't worry, the USGS will list it eventually.
