Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34661118 Change the law, Sheeple !!! If lying were illegal, everyone would be in jail. It comes with being the only species that's capable of doing so. If you're going to talk about free thought and tell others that they're sheep. You better be accepting of everything in the world and let nothing bother you. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 10482113 United States 02/18/2013 08:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wasn't there a movie about a guy who went to a planet where people never lied, and didn't know what lying was. When he realized this, he started lying all over the place to get what he wanted. I didn't see the movie so can't be positive I got that right. Anyway, I think our entire reality is built on lies. From infancy, we were taught that we should not lie, and were taught most people also don't lie. Well, that's a lie, heehee. That movie could have been about us, on planet earth; about our naivety. Lying is at the base of our society. We lie to ourselves and to others, most often without even realizing it. Many politicians, authorities, officials, corporations, advertisers, and scientists understand this...they understand, like Hitler, that if you tell a lie loud enough and long enough, most people will believe it. So to begin the process of "waking up", one of the first steps is to understand that our world is built on many, many illusions. That's only a first step. Is it right or wrong? Is it immoral? I no longer know. I figure I'm on earth to experience, to learn. I didn't create this system, and it isn't what I would have created if I were in charge. But I'm not; I can change myself, but otherwise I'm just an observer. And, I observe a lot of lies :) |

I am a liar. I have lied to myself and other people. I hate being lied to though. The only way I can change anything is to stop doing what I hate being done to me. Of course that doesn't mean other people will not lie to me. Change your behavior..... |
