remember the 80's movie, 'Night of The Comet'?

for those that have never seen it..... think of:
'Night of the Living Dead' meets 'The Breakfast Club' lolsign

(caution: plot summary & spoilers below)

<snipped>

The Earth is going to pass through the tail of a comet, an event which has not occurred in 65 million years, the last time coinciding with the extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs.

On the night of the comet's passage, large crowds gather outside to watch and celebrate.

The next morning, a reddish haze covers everything, and there are no signs of life, only small piles of red dust and empty clothes.

The scientists & researchers had suspected and prepared for the comet's effects, but inadvertently left their ventilation system open during the comet's passage allowing the deadly dust to permeate their base.

(note: main characters spend the night in a movie theater, safely away from the zombie-making red dust of the comet)

Eventually, rain washes away the red dust and the world is left in a pristine condition.

Humanity wins!!! Hurray!!! thumbs clap

Another great example of something that is just as unrelated to ISON as Sion, Zion or Scion!

Re: All eyes on ISON - Comet ISON to shine brighter than Hale-Bopp in November 2013
"Both comets were faint but visible to the naked eye, C/2011 L4 (PanSTARRS) slightly brighter than C/2012 F6 (Lemmon)," says Cherney. "I would guestimate the visual magnitude of Comet Lemmon at +5.5 and PanSTARRS at +5." Also visible in Cherney's images are the Small Magellanic Cloud and the 47 Tuc globular star cluster.

Comet Pan-STARRS is heading for a close encounter with the sun just inside the orbit of Mercury that could significantly boost its visibility in early March. At that time, the comet will be visible to northern-hemisphere observers as well. A video from NASA explores the possibilities.
