I would just like to share that I am involved with Ultra-pure deionized water purification on an industrial scale.

The demonstration of the water bridge makes me question the purity of the samples in the beakers as deionized water is electrically resistant.

Perhaps the charge is forced out of both beakers as in a Farraday cage and envelops the outside of both vessels. The water once splashed into the eletromagnetic conduit between the two becomes suspended and is quite happy to flow resolving any differential however slight between the two solutions.

Water has always fascinated me and amazes me still.
