What the Op said is good. And this guy is GOOD TOO.

We have to walk the line. [link to youtu.be]

For some of us, the issue is not guns--it's confronting FALSE INFORMATION all the time. Our kids get lied to in school and we get lied to by the media. IN

Astronomy, space science, weather, geology, nutrition & health, archeology, history & law.

If your teevee is on, you're SATURATED WITH LIES ALL THE TIME.

Those are the TOPICS the Coverment has reasons to suppress, by Treaty, which trumps Law.

Basically, everything they tell you is a lie or a scam on you.

So in other words, forget about your first and second Amendment rights, forget about your fourth and fifth Amendment rights. Hell why don't we just forget about all our rights and live in fear the government just like this was fucking Russia. We should fear no man, and be subservient to none. If that gets me put on another list so be it. This is no time to hide under your bed. Whos side are you on op? The anti gun weenies are going ape shit with their verbal assault on our rights. Silence on our part shows a sign of content and weakness. Being weak will get us steamrolled, or worse. Pro 2nd amendment, firearms talk should be encouraged. Just keep talk of violence and anti government talk out of it.

Yeager was a bonehead for posting what he did. He made an open threat. That is a prime example of what not to do. Simply speaking your mind about something like the constitution, or firearms or oud disagreement with the feds is well within our rights, and shkuld not be suppressed an any way.

Re: Firearm Owner Discretion and Self-Censorship is More Important Now Than Ever
Let's face it--censorship is SHIT. However, SELF-censorship can and will SAVE YOUR ASS sometimes.

The way things are going with the US government trying to root out internet "extremists" (freedom-loving Americans), it's probably a good idea to practice some self-censorship when it comes to mentioning firearms, ammunition, accessories and magazines.

Look, we're ALL proud to support the 2nd Amendment. And most of us couldn't care less about what the federal government thinks of us. No one is a coward for keeping their armaments secret. Frankly, it's a good policy REGARDLESS of federal government threats to freedom. No one here has anything to prove.

It's getting to the point where the internet is shamelessly being monitored. And it's being monitored for everyday ordinary Americans who aren't satisfied with the federal government.

We're all on one "watch list" or another. But the feds are getting more aggressive. Think about your families.

One more thing:

BEWARE THE "LOUD AND PROUD" TYPES!!! Just remember how feds bust "domestic terrorists"! They fabricate the whole situation, provide the plans and the munitions and then they BUST THE POOR UNWITTING FUCKER WHO GOT WRAPPED UP IN THE GOVERNMENT-MADE PLOT.

In other words, beware of the people who say keeping quiet about your armament is an act of cowardess. Either they are morans or they are out to get you.

And if you think GLP isn't being HEAVILY MONITORED, you are WAY OFF.

Just my 2 cents.

You can't hide anymore or they will pick you off one by one. The "loud and Proud" need to form one large group and stand together.
 Quoting: Dr.Ricks

^^^BEWARE^^^

It's a romantic notion, friend. And there may be a time for that. Stand together. But do it face-to-face with people you know and trust. Don't do it on the internet these days. You're leading federal agents right to your family's door.

I don't like it any more than you do.

Since when do the feds care about rights?

I'll say it again:

In a government-criticism thread, post something promoting states' rights.

In a crime story thread, post something that can be misconstrued as "racist".

In a firearms thread, post something about your 30 rd mag dealer.

NOW YOU FIT THE PROFILE. YOU, my friend, are a "dangerous armed extremist".

I'll tell you why you're wrong OP. General Karl Von Clauswitz wrote a book about conflict named On War. One of the principles he laid out is that a conflict only ends when your enemy is made to believe there is no hope for the future. When he at long last comes to know he can't win, that's when he finally capitulates.

If you never give the enemy any indication of your strength and resolve, you never do anything to sap his hope for victory and prove to him that he can't win.

No, you don't sit back and hide. You show him exactly what is going to happen to him and you scare the living shit out of him and let him know he is fucking doomed. And if that's not enough you bring the doom until he becomes convinced of it.

You could avert this war with a show of strength and save a lot of misery for everybody maybe. You're never going to do it laying in the weeds, that's a certainty. I highly recommend you find a copy of that book and read it.

You make good points and I certainly agree. However, due to the increased monitoring of the internet these days (especially at "suspect" sites like this one), it would be prudent to demonstrate shows of force in the public forum and not at an internet forum where subversion and racism are daily topics.

GLP is on the government radar. It would not surprise me if they classify this site as a "far right hate site" or somesuch. I'm NOT claiming that GLP is such a site. But we know how this shit goes.

The feds are looking for a reason. The more "extremists" they bust, the more funding they get.

Yes, most likely many of you are.

During the cold war many swedish fighter pilots were visited by polish art salesmen knocking on their door. They did this during a couple of years in the 80s. It took a while before authorities started taking notice. And then they realised that many other key persons involved in crucial sectors of society had been visited and mapped.

You probably can guess why they did this. Often these door knocking salesmen (and women) were very succesful in gaining entrance to the homes. The russians knew every house where these people lived, where the bedrooms were, working hours, dogs, etc. After the cold war ended documents were published that in detail showed how a soviet attack on Sweden would start. The days before massive airborne and sea landings, they would activate sleeping agents and send in Spetznaz elite units to take out key personell in the swedish defensive infrastructure.

I am sure that TPTB have the same plans. If I was an Oath Keeper openly, I would definitely think of moving, change name, etc.

OP is right. Stay low. And hope that they don't have access to Oath Keepers (or other similar organisation's) databases. Find other ways to communicate than the internet.

Op we will never know what cards the opponent is dealt if it's a bluff or not. Same goes for us. I can claim to have an arsenal up my ass as a bluff which might cause the enemy to waste valuable resources time and money or even fold. You have to think about all the cards in play and the cards not in play. Of course people are entitled to their own opinion but asking people to play the same way isn't going to win. We need loud & obnoxious. Peaceful yet opinionated. People calling bluffs and people to fold and wait till the right time to put their cards into play. Being loud and obnoxious about it can be an unexpected surprise that has to be dealt with that they were not prepared for. Not everyone in the government agrees on what's going on with gun control and are probably waiting for the right time to reveal their cards but we still need the loud and obnoxious guys to slow the process so everyone else can prepare to go all in.

I can see your point. I would just caution the loud and proud types to watch how they post in threads that have nothing to do with firearms. I would caution them to stay away from anything that heavily criticizes Obama or anything that could be misconstrued as even slightly "racist".

I know it seems extreme but the feds actually build profiles of what "domestic terrorists" are supposed to be like. They key words are:

armed
right-wing and
racist

And you KNOW the feds like to bend the definitions of those words.

Re: Firearm Owner Discretion and Self-Censorship is More Important Now Than Ever
face=Verdana]No one is suggesting that you (or anyone else) "sneak and hide like a little bitch". Although your bravado is done behind an A/C log in. Co-incidence maybe? Or something else?

What concerned and smart people ARE suggesting is that you think before your post. Do not think for one second that the "AC log-on" can keep the government from tracing your IP. It cannot and does not.

In the late 1930's when Hitler rose to power and it was decided that the Nazi Party was going to round up all the Jews in Berlin and other German cities - they had to look no further than the city registry. Every household was listed by their names, ages, numbers of children, and religion. It was no problem to know which houses to go to - and how many people they would find therein.

The rest is history. The Jews were rounded up, taken into ghettos in parts of the city, and then moved out to the "camps" where they were systematically killed. This is history which we should learn from. Six Million Innocent people (including women and children) were murdered before the world figured out what was going on and stepped in to stop it.

What you own and what you believe should be shared when and where it is appropriate to do so. Since the internet is not only a PUBLIC medium, but it also creates a nearly permanent record of anything you've said, thought, posted for many years - it is time to be somewhat circumspect in how much of your life and thoughts you reveal online.

The bible tells us there is a time coming when Christians will be rounded up and labeled as "anti-government" or "terrorists" because they won't conform to the new "national religion" and it's "multi-cultural" beliefs.

And that's just one issue that is headed our way in the future. Before that happens, we may see the order issued at the federal level to take fire arms away from private citizens. If you've listed photos of your own personal arsenal online and bragged about the firepower you own and how well prepared you may be - the government will have an easy time of knowing where to begin their efforts - won't they?

Bottom line is just use some common sense. And remember that whatever you post online will probably be copied, backed up, re-backed up, and stored someplace or other for many many years. Good Rule of Thumb: IF YOU WOULDN'T WANT YOUR COMMENTS ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE NEW YORK TIMES OR WASHINGTON POST OR LA TIMES - THEN DON'T POST IT ON THE INTERNET!

Think about that and make it your mantra. It might well save you and your family a great deal of grief and heartache someday very soon.

What if you aren't a coward and you stand for principles? What to do then. Still sneak and hide like a little bitch?

I'm not afraid to die. I say what I want to whom I want. End of story. If anyone, including the gov wants to bring a beaf, then they best tread lightly.

I sold all my guns ages ago.

I gave away my ammo.

I recycled my holsters into leather chaps for use at Gay Pride/Democrat parades.

I love Obama.

No one is suggesting that you (or anyone else) "sneak and hide like a little bitch". Although your bravado is done behind an A/C log in. Co-incidence maybe? Or something else? ...

What if you aren't a coward and you stand for principles? What to do then. Still sneak and hide like a little bitch?

I'm not afraid to die. I say what I want to whom I want. End of story. If anyone, including the gov wants to bring a beaf, then they best tread lightly.

Both of you speak well. ... and it DEPENDS ... on what info you have access to, how careful you have to be with your WORDING.

You know NSA's LIST of words that draw their attention? Don't use them!

Have information they don't want you to have? Be careful to whom to show it ... especially if it is information that is TRUE AND IN CONTRADICTION TO ESTABLISHED DOGMA.

TPTB have been hacking and surveilling me (and gang-stalking) since 1998 because I confront and address NASA's public lies.

Actually, being an old retired school marm, I'm indignant about ALL THE LIES we're told, top-down: Astronomy, Archaeology, History, Civics and Law, Geology, Weather, Health & Nutrition, and the list goes on.

But I focus on space science because that's where my professional skills are: decoding digital images that have been altered since the camera >SNAPPED!<

The other point, being afraid to die, WE ALL DIE, we all leave, there are no exceptions. So, what's to fear?

Suffering a medical death or being shot and dying within moments? Are you kidding?

Sorry, I hate to be the one to tell you. The real fight for this country occurred 50 years ago....just ask Joe McCarthy. There is a reason is name is associated with stupidity, racism, witch hunts, etc.....to the victors go the spoils and the winners write the history books. THEY ALREADY WON!! You (and me) are in the minority. We lost years ago. The difference is, I know it, and people like you still think there is something to fight for....there isn't! THEY WON! That's why we have to take down crosses on public land, can't pray in school, can't carry without permits, and on and on and on. They are taking your rights, they already took them. They aren't brainwashing your kids, they're already brainwashed. They are demonizing Christianity, it's already demonized. GET IT? It's already over and it has been for decades....it's all just slow and steady implementation now....lay low, survive, cause a little problem when you can, but make no mistake, the war is over....and they won.

^^^ This makes more sense.
Perhaps people should be louder than ever, making their creation of lists an absolutely pointless endeavor.
Granted OP, I get what you're saying, however, with that said, seeing as how they (those who hold no respect for the Constitution), have taken to all but labeling patriots as domestic extremists … I think it is getting rather late in the day, so to speak.

That's NOT what I'm saying.

I say talk the talk and walk the walk. But do it where it counts. Open carry. Join with other REAL LIFE people. More power to you!

But talking about specific armaments that you own and where you get them on a site that is monitored for "right wing" rhetoric and "racism" is NOT a good idea.

It's not about the guns. It's not about "racism". It's not about "right wing" rhetoric.

It's about THE COMBINATION that fits the profile of the "armed right wing racist" aka "domestic terrorist".

You and I may know how absurd that is but the feds take it very fucking seriously.
