Same goes for us. I can claim to have an arsenal up my ass as a bluff which might cause the enemy to waste valuable resources time and money or even fold. You have to think about all the cards in play and the cards not in play. Of course people are entitled to their own opinion but asking people to play the same way isn't going to win. We need loud & obnoxious. Peaceful yet opinionated. People calling bluffs and people to fold and wait till the right time to put their cards into play. Being loud and obnoxious about it can be an unexpected surprise that has to be dealt with that they were not prepared for. Not everyone in the government agrees on what's going on with gun control and are probably waiting for the right time to reveal their cards but we still need the loud and obnoxious guys to slow the process so everyone else can prepare to go all in. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22491741 I can see your point. I would just caution the loud and proud types to watch how they post in threads that have nothing to do with firearms. I would caution them to stay away from anything that heavily criticizes Obama or anything that could be misconstrued as even slightly "racist". I know it seems extreme but the feds actually build profiles of what "domestic terrorists" are supposed to be like. They key words are: armed right-wing and racist And you KNOW the feds like to bend the definitions of those words. You can add a few more to that list: Christians Constitutionalists Tax protesters Home schoolers Members of the sovereign individual movement Those who promote seceding from the union Those who speak about admiralty law Those who are anti-vaccine Any "-ist" or "-phobe" not in line with the current agenda Anyone who uses a term like "banksters" Those who are critical of surveillance technologies Those critical of the TSA and police checkpoints Those opposed to the UN or New World Order And the list goes on... I can remember when the feds' terrorist profile even included people who had recently purchased a Farmers Almanac. Indeed the list goes on and on and on. But right now, DHS is specifically trolling for: armed racist anti federal government But you're right. It's harder for anyone to NOT appear on some list than it is to get on one. Everyone is a suspect. I hate it but it's true. Welcome to East Germany. What DHS is trolling for today, may not be what they're trolling for tomorrow, and the data they've been collecting will be stored for a very long time. A few years ago I posted a comment on a thread advising the same thing that you are advising here. If it makes you feel any better, I got blasted for it, too. Seriously, people, when was the last time you saw a military General print out a list of everything in his arsenal and hand it over to the opposition? When things change, strategies and methods must change as well. In dangerous times, one must be alert and adaptable. |

In those days the people did not live in a globalized community. It was enough to have the support of the majority where the battles were fought. Revolutions in modern time fail if they start to early. You need the support of the majority. And all revolutions have three stages that are sequential. Skip one and the next is bound to fail. We are now between the first (information exchange, unity forming) and the second (active peaceful protests, civil disobedience). If you take it to the third stage (violent uprisings) too soon, you will fail. And the fact is that most tyrannical governments are toppled at the second stage. Be inspired by the fall of the Sovietunion and the Berlin wall. Everyone said it was impossible to revolt against Kreml with all its might, but what happened once the people took to the streets in tens of thousands in peaceful disobedience? |
odinson222 User ID: 1136361 United States 02/19/2013 08:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Let's face it--censorship is SHIT. However, SELF-censorship can and will SAVE YOUR ASS sometimes. Quoting: simultaneous_final The way things are going with the US government trying to root out internet "extremists" (freedom-loving Americans), it's probably a good idea to practice some self-censorship when it comes to mentioning firearms, ammunition, accessories and magazines. Look, we're ALL proud to support the 2nd Amendment. And most of us couldn't care less about what the federal government thinks of us. No one is a coward for keeping their armaments secret. Frankly, it's a good policy REGARDLESS of federal government threats to freedom. No one here has anything to prove. It's getting to the point where the internet is shamelessly being monitored. And it's being monitored for everyday ordinary Americans who aren't satisfied with the federal government. We're all on one "watch list" or another. But the feds are getting more aggressive. Think about your families. One more thing: BEWARE THE "LOUD AND PROUD" TYPES!!! Just remember how feds bust "domestic terrorists"! They fabricate the whole situation, provide the plans and the munitions and then they BUST THE POOR UNWITTING FUCKER WHO GOT WRAPPED UP IN THE GOVERNMENT-MADE PLOT. In other words, beware of the people who say keeping quiet about your armament is an act of cowardess. Either they are morans or they are out to get you. And if you think GLP isn't being HEAVILY MONITORED, you are WAY OFF. Just my 2 cents. Hello That is why I have sold my rifles and only have 2 hand guns. God Bless odinson222 A Man Has Got to Know His Limitations I am just a sinner trying to make it to heaven! Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
