You're using it as a term for people you disagree with too. Don't think the people that misuse shill are shills themselves, just dumb.

So, I was in that Seal Team 6 thread where I was derailed by a shill comment thrown in my direction. I decided to not muddy the water any further in that thread and post my response here.

This has become a two topic thread. One is about the horrible thing that happened to Seal Team 6 and how they are "coincidentally" just getting picked off one by one. The second one is the argument that you become a shill just because you disagree with what I'm saying.

Also, being an AC doesn't make you a shill either. So while all shills are AC's not all AC's are shills. Actually, I had an account, Lissa2712 but I have no idea what happened to it. I've only started a thread one time a year ago. I have a new account now but my IP address is still the same. btw.

Mostly, I read and gather information so I can be as prepared as I can if/when something happens.

Truth is not how you feeeel about something..it is facts hard and cold. Mary Curie felt that licking uranium was a good idea. Obviously, she was wrong. Yes, truth is how we interpret the facts but our information comes emotionalized and already digested. We can only interpret it more/or less extreme than how its handed to us.

Back on topic, these people lost family members and they are suffering and there is more to be upset about are they going back far enough? Why did we invade Kuwait? Why were they on that flight? Why were they there at all?? What these families have gone thru cannot be measured or recovered and there must be more done regarding this. That is hard and cold. We do not have a president that could say he had "clean hands" since maybe John Adams? Be angry and outraged but do it to the right people. I'm angry and I want answers. I have no idea where they are but I'm going to say you travel up the food chain until you find the answer.

Why would I buy what anyone in the media says. Fox is actually the worst for this and the first for the "my side is the best" news channels...if you don't believe me, review the week after Obama won where they had to explain why their numbers were wrong and their polling so off base. They were blind sided and they shouldn't have been.

Part of why Romney lost the election falls in Fox's lap. They had given the viewers a false sense of security so extreme they didn't feel like they had to go vote. It also transversely spurred the Obama supporters to action.

I will say that from what I have seen since the election they are actually trying to get the news out in two ways with the spin and without. They have been working on building credibility...but they have an amazingly long road to go.

I apologize for this De-railing I just felt so strongly about the unwarranted shill spouting that it brought me out of lurker status.

GLP is so amazing because of the varying people it brings from all over the world. People who see the world through their own eyes rather than what is being shown to us on the MSM. That includes every news source that is on the regular networks, cable, major newspapers, anything owned by the Coch Brothers or Rupert Murdoch, the left or the right. Being impartial is not actually something our news tries to be anymore. It's not something that is even important to our lawmakers.
