The past monetary expansion by the western central banks assured everything energy related will go up, and up and up. If a dollar/dollar denominated debt firesale ensues watch out. Some ppl say that China has held onto some $2 trillion in US debt for the sole purpose of a slow transition to Yuan based bills of credit in the Asian Block. Seems like that could speed up in the near future. BTW OPEC openly stated several years ago they will sell their oil in another currency other than the dollar by 2015. That's 2 years away. China has exchange agreements for bills of credit with India and several Asian countries already, the are already trading in local currencies bypassing the dollar. . |
