You can say that again. I was in a 2-hr fight today. Just pretty verbal with the other party just rolling on and on and on and on and on for the good part of those 2 hours ... and the person is in complete and willing denial. I just told this person for the zillioneth time that hard times are coming, that they have to prepare and listen etc. I've done this before and did it today again since I figured with the Russian meteor the other day, they would be more open. Boy was I wrong! Not open. Don't want to hear it and then the litany of insults. And all this from a close family member.
Our job is to listen. There are those who listen to God's warnings, like you said even the fauna of this world is doing it. It is humans in total, willing denial that will be taken with the wave of trouble in the near future.

My other two sisters. One just bought a house in Yuma Arizona where they plan on retiring and spending 8mnths of the year. They sold their farm in Alberta. LOL LOL When no t there will be staying in Calgary with my other sister/husband and all the kids.
They are so not prepared for anything. They kinda grabbed a few things for 2012. Kinda barely more of a joke. We have been giving them all sorts of information on everything. No way in hell they want to here any of it. Not way in hell anything is going to happen in their lifetime. Everything is normal and stuff like this has been going on forever and nothing ever happens. There will not be a war. The Banks and economys are too big to fail. Not food shortages will ever happen. The Government will protect us. We live in Canada and nothing ever happens here.
Both won't even talk to me anymore. Don't want to hear it. Can't even talk about the weather. So Ironic. LOL
I have made my peace and tried and tried to get thru to them. We live in different provinces and by the time SHTF they wouldn't make it here across the mountains anyways.
My one sister has 5 young adult children and she is now a grandmother. He's One. She told me she didn't want to hear about it cause she's got children to worry about.

I feel for ya...your story runs VERY parallel to my own! It sounds like you're ready to 'cut the anchor rope' and lighten your load. I did, and the amount of newly found energy is amazing...they can literally suck the life out of you! Not that I don't LOVE my family and close friends. but we are told to 'plant seeds'...sounds like you have...it's NOT your job to sit there and stare at them, waiting to see if anything grows. Focus on your immediate surroundings, you'll feel the frustration ebb!
Amen to that. They both crapped on me right before Christmas after the 21st came and went. Same with my other Sister so its just me and her now. We talk everyday and she watches the news and documentaries and I cover the Web.
We both live in the remotes and are well established and ready. Weve been at it for a couple of years plus a few mnths. Got down to bussiness fast and hard. Saw it coming in 2010. I have extra and so does she just in case for them. To tell you the truth I would not look forward to their arrivals. They would show with nothing and having not dealt with the mental aspects and the reality of the situation it would be chaos. I really don't think they could and would cope very well. No skills either. Not the ones nessesary anyways.
Both me and mt other Sister have come to terms with the fact that they would wait to long and not make it out anyways. I'm over the Rockies from them. She's a 10hr drive and they won't store extra fuel.
We have seed planted with the kids. My niece with the 1 year old his parents have a farm outside the City thank God.
You do have to cut and run after a while as it serves no purpose past a certain point and your right it does suck the life out of you. We do feel like we did our part and it will be what it will be.
I have a young couple joining me on my Mountain Top Farm and they are in all the way and have been prepping for years also.
My other Sister has a very capable husband and a remote farm and will be fine also.
Were in for the long haul. Not to just survive but to actually thrive with plans for commerce and trade after the fact. Its going to be one hell of an Adventure. My only regret in all of this is that I never found a like minded male counterpart to join me in all of this. Too independent and soon as you talk about being and living self sufficient in this modern world as I do already they think your ............ Well you know.
I'm ready to get this show on the road already.
