The people are just totally desperate. Even those who cannot go out to protest, elderly, or working. The numbers of protesters don't matter. The issue is the Bulgarians are the poorest nation in EU and on the Balkans. And no politician or party resolved that no matter Bulgaria is a full EU member now.

Whilst we have a voting system whose results depends upon how much money you can raise to pay for adverts, media, etc to influence people's votes, we will continue to get the Berlusconi's, the Sarkozy's and the American political crime families.

Good, but i think it's time to start protesting against the EU (membership) itself, because too many of the problems come as a result and they won't be fixed by any strictly internal measures (All the excises are a good example).

Iceland kicked out the banksters and is not a EU member for a reason. It wouldn't be possible if they were.

Today 24, Feb. Bulgarians on the streets doubled their numbers compared to last Sunday and reached around 200,000 in over 50 cities and 15 embassies in foreign countries. What started as an attempt by Russian mafia to change the government has clearly gotten out of control and has turned into a revolution against everything and everybody. Bulgarians no longer want to be ruled by anybody from the political and mafia elite. They protest against the monopolies, the political class, the banks, the destruction of the Bulgarian beautiful nature, the mafia, the judging system and their low living standard. Today the president came to the people and he was handed their demands. The protesters refuse to negotiate with any politician saying "we do not negotiate with terrorists".

What will happen during the week is anybody wild guess. But next Sunday is 3rd of March, the Bulgarian National Holiday or our Independence Day. Protest so far have been heavily nationalistic - waving our flag, singing the anthem and bearing the sign "Freedom or Death" - so this coincidence could turn into a boiling point that could change things in the country for good.
