I got to travel northern europe last year, basically from russia down to the UK. My observation, regardless the country, the people are great...... Huge difference in the governments. Conclusion: people are people. Mostly good, decent people. Aside from the criminals and freeloaders, people just want to live their lives. The governments seem to be the main problem Some much worse than others, but still, politicians and money handlers seem to be the problem. We most definitely need more common sense regular folk in politics.
Quoting: sawmill THIS!!!!! couldn't have said it better myself! The trouble is, democracy is used by the rabble-rousing sociopaths who want to feather their nests to gain power for themselves. So we constantly get so-called "leaders" who represent only their own interests and ruthlessly manipulate others to help themselves stay in power. Whilst we have a voting system whose results depends upon how much money you can raise to pay for adverts, media, etc to influence people's votes, we will continue to get the Berlusconi's, the Sarkozy's and the American political crime families.
