I have a feeling your dream was a true premonition. Seeing as how you are from Austalia. I live in Oregon and we are are well overdue for a large scale earthquake in either Oregon or Washington.

It's not Washington State but there's the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Iron Mountains In Tennessee. They're part of the Appalachian Mountain Range. The Smoky Mountains are there too. They got their name from the Cherokee that lived there. The Cherokee name means Land of the Blue Smoke. Earthquakes are not uncommon there and it lies close to the New Madrid fault line. Just a thought.

Had an earthquake dream too this night, nothing rich of detail, just me sitting in front of my computer witnessing a Mag 8 pop up, then a 9.0, no location available.

this was a dream I had several months ago and emailed my cus who is living in sanfran and works in a café/food it was autumn at the time of the dream. There has only been 4 times in the past were I have stood over or watched persons doing something and all have happened. I don't claim to be this and that I feel like it is a warning there is no other way I should of been there across the water as if I was invisible but at the same time present with out them knowing I was listening in. I have never been to America and I learn from you ppl who give info for me to search that's my way of knowing is from you.

Yeah. Tennessee played a big part in the civil war. Their rivers were the main arteries to the south. There is still a fairly big Cherokee presence in the Smoky Mts. The eastern band of the Cherokee have a reservation there. Those mountains were their home until the europeans showed up. Horse camps are a huge thing there too.

This is the fault that many are saying would split the US in two if it ever goes.

so my dream was a quake with a twist the first quake in which many ppl thought was the one wasn't, the aftershock is the main quake.. So these 2 men I stood over they knew the quake was coming and knew the second was gonna be bigger.

Once again, the answer is the New Madrid quake of 1811-1812. The initial quake registered between 7.4 - 8.0 but an aftershock a month and 1/2 later did the most damage. It registered 8.6

No. It's simply named after the epicenter of the quake. New Madrid, Missouri. After the quake, they discovered the fault....hence, the name.
